Finally, I found someone who cares about the WWZ lore instead of the Bradd Pit movie that took the name and kept none of the lore
Theoretically the only accurate thing was the Nuclear Exchange, but It wasn’t between Iran and Pakistan so that may make it invalid.

Never really cared either way about Pitt...until after he butchered Max's work. Now he can rot for taking such a well-told series of stories and turning it into "Look at me I am awesome".

They probably didn't want other countries getting involved, figured they knew the best way to handle it. The virus started in rural areas and spread like wildfire because they kept it hidden from the world.

The Chinese are trying to hide that they have lost control of the situation. In the book they are deploying special troops with communications jammers to areas with reports of the virus to try and quietly contain it in order to save face.

Depicting the Chinese Military as malicious evil-doers in a Zombie Apocalypse Fantasy that serves no point but to have an absract unrelatable and completely detached villian for a shitty metaphor about human nature and "Communism Bad" for Western Audiences? Some things never change in Post-Modern American literature, such a boring and politically insidious plot point in the lore, better ignored and forgotten by history.
Honestly, Chinese Military aren’t evil, they simply follow order they are soldiers, the true villain are the ones who gave them such a malicious order to they follow. By the way I think it was very real world related because you must that China always cover up the shit that they do, the best example of it is the Covid Cover Up they did and keeps covering it up today. I lived in China for 3 years and I saw how they cover up things just like the Covid outbreak. The CCP will do anything to make them look they aren’t responsible for the shot that they caused.
The true villain in this story is the CCP who preferred to hide the truth of a zombie apocalypse not the military that just followed the order
Bruh, I'm not "pro-american" (due to world policing and shit but it's more of a personal view) either but if I'm not mistaken the dude here took inspiration from the book, and "may" even took inspiration about how they handled COVID with Wuhan, despite that it's actually a pleasant surprise to see that our "main" characters were actually UN Blue Helmets which is not used as material that often in media.
To sum up about metaphor and stuff I don't see anything related to communism instead I saw a country that is kinda brutal to its people due to its history, with trusting issues with NGOs and especially UN because they view it as american or western puppet (that may have some truth behind, they act only when there's interest behind that's my personal feeling on the question take for example Thailand and Myanmar right now).
You know, maybe they were just basing this off of the book. You know, the book that had China be ground zero and cover up the infection. Typical retarded socialists.
