I always believed in God.. But never knew him.. It came to the point where I was dead inside. I had no emotion, I hadn't cried in 9 years. I remember now the words I told God, as I read my bible.. Lord I want to fear you again.. Like The way the great men in the bible fear you.. I want to feel what you feel.. And that's when my world was destroyed.. My wife of 10 years, left me in the last months of her bsn for another.. I was taken away from everything I knew and loved.. After years of supporting, taking care of my family.. I was told, I love you but I'm not in love with you anymore.. I was completely shattered.. To the point I only had one breath left, either cry out to God, or take my life.. I would stand by the street thinking about just jumping in front of a car, or wishing a car would just run me over... I went back to my room at my parents read a script and went back outside.. It was days I haven't slept or really ate anything... I looked towards the heavens.. And screamed with endless tears flowing.. Lord see my tears, hear my cries and see my heart.. See the pain I am in lord.. I found my self in a church a few hrs later.. Church I've never been to before.. As the pastor stands up in front.. He looks out and says.. God came to me last night to give y'all a msg.. Someone is really hurt.. Their spouse has hurt them really bad.. So bad that you have been screaming towards the heavens for God to see your tears, hear your cries and see your heart.. And he has told me.. He has heard you! And he says his love is the only love you need an everything is going to be alright!!! Yea I was up in front crying my eyes out.. Ever since that day, I've never been the same.. God has shown me a love that can only be explained in the bible.. He has truly changed my heart and spirt.. He has given me dreams that came true.. Even woke me up from sleep to play a movie in my head of all I did wrong.. Including placing my wife as my golden bull.. For I did praise every step she took.. It's been 8 months since my wife left me.. But in these 8 months.. God has healed me, set me free from my chains had answered many impossible prayers, miracles..... And he has Taught me that all the pain, sadness, betrayal I have gone through.. He goes through on a daily basis with us.. So yes I live everyday in fear of hurting my lord.. And wanting to put a smile on his face..

amazing. i was in a 8 year relationship and she ended up cheating on me then broke up with me. i came to Christ about 2 years before that. through all the times i would put god to the side and made my ex my idol, he never gave up on me. so when the everything happen and i found out, i felt gods pain every time i would turn from him. my heartbreak was gods heartbreak. none the less, been 7 months now and im finally getting back right with god and looking forward to seeing his glory at the end of my days here on this earth. until then, ill follow where ever he takes me. thanks again for your testimony
your story is very similar to mine too. I was in a relationship for 8 years with my ex and we had known each other for a decade. long story short, he cheated on me and then broke up with me. I went to a very dark place during that time and was at my lowest point emotionally, physically and mentally. prior to all this, I'd always wanted to know God but never gave Him much of a nudge because I wasn't seeking Him. God's grace and mercy is unfanthomable and I had no idea He was with me before, during and after the realtionship. He not only brought me out of that relationship (because I know I didn't have the strength to do it on my own) but He also gave my life a purpose which is something I never had. I'm forever thankful and words cannot describe the peace of mind He has given me in the midst of life.

honestly i can relate soo much. i was praying for a guy that seeked God that loved him went to church and stuff. i met a guy at school ( he didn't go to church) we became best friends i started to have feelings for him. So i brought him to church he would tell me that God is changing his life and what not. We started dating because i thought he was the one. i started noticing that i wasnt feeling the same for God. i wasnt worshiping him the same. i wasnt playing the piano the same. i dropped spiritually. i hated feeling so down and seeing other rejoice in God. so i broke up with the guy and things changed i lost my best friend that one person that was always there for me. i knew God had something better for me but i was hurt. weeks passed by and i still didnt feel God like i use too. i prayed saying " God i broke up with him for you, why am i not feeling you still?!" i didnt know that God was testing me and seeing if i really wanted to get closer to him. sunday night i was once again filled with Gods power. its hard to get back up when you became so far from God. But if you desire more of God you will fight and let go of people even if it hurts. God is amazing!

But right now I'm just trying to focus on God and my education and that's just about it cause thinking about everything else confuses , scares and pull me back.
Alyssa Gabrielle The big problem is that your still best friends with your ex. You need to cut them out of your life completely if they aren't helping you grow closer to GOD. The even bigger problem is that you're looking for the one when you should be focusing on your education, knowing yourself, and finding a way to help others know JESUS and help them in physical ways if you can to show the love and power of GOD (I.e donating and spending time with lonely people). You're going to spend the rest of your life with the one so there's no rush to find them.

God communicates in an awsome way. You are angry at Him and demand an answer, but God does not have a discussion with us. He does not shout back or get into an argument with us. Instead, He is silence for weeks, years and months. Finally we surrender and say sorry and we pray again and receive joy again and the future looks bright again. How does He DO it ?!
Yes it seems that way, but its like a teenager who does not wat to listen to good advise from grandma and parents, untill they are older and they're eyes begin to open. God is patient for years and years. He does it His way. Every woman does herself no favors by the silent treatment and some guys walk away. ( Life sucks a bit but its nice at the same time) Bless you.

Your story is so similar to mine. I was in a choir and I ended up liking another singer in our group. I thought because of where I met him that he was the one for me. Long story short he lied to me, forced me to do things I never wanted to do.. I ran into his ex gf at one of our choir shows and he was flirting with her. I left in tears.. couldn't even sing. But God delivered me from it. Later on a met another guy like him who just wasn't good for me. He actually told me that I should chill on trying to follow God out of his fear of me becoming boring.. We fought a lot, he forced me into things, we just weren't right for each other. Then one day God woke me up and I felt so much peace over me.. he told me that it's time for me to leave the guy so I did. Been happy ever since haha praise God for that

Yeah. I could have gotten out of it if I wanted to but the issue was that I didn't want to. I'm blessed that I'm out of it though. I learned a lot from that experience :)

this is so amazing to have found your testimony. I have always used to think that relationship should be secular and wow was i wrong on so many levels. My last boyfriend (which was two years ago) said he was christian formally but i never felt God there but i stayed... i was impatient and i thought i could make it work without God. I promised God that will wait until marriage but i slept with that guy. And i remember crying the whole night after it happened thinking maybe that how every girl feels the first time. I told my self it was good experience, that i have learned from it and i came out unaffected. After him i havent dated anyone saying that i was waiting for someone that gave me butterflies or whatever but it was all garbage. I let God down, i gave him my word and went back on it, i questioned him, i thought i was better than him, i thought i knew better for myself, i thought i could live whole without him. But there are no words to describe how i felt this last week. I have come to realize that my whole approach to God was wrong. I am not there yet but these past few days i have been making changes in my life to fully accept him and let go of the things that kept Him from me. I no longer feel like i need just another boyfriend as well. now i realize the only person worth being with is one who loves God with all his mind and heart like it says on the Bible. And after years of dabbling i now understand, want, need and accept Jesus Christ as my personal savior and give my whole heart, mind and life to Him.

Thanks for sharing your story. I believe its so important to be careful who we chose to get into a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship with. Don't just go with the flow for any guy, even a guy who comes to church and who says the right things...watch him/observe him and how he goes about his life and you will see true character after a while....finding someone who is living for God 100% is an incredible blessing....just be patient

I love your story I came from a Christian family I knew him but I never really Trusted him but one day I started doubting god why did I have to go through such harsh moments but I was in deep depression but I realize how much god loved me and how he has a plan for me and that I should keep pushing forward but know that he will always be with me. Today i am happy as ever when ever I needed help I just pray I love to Listen to testimonies like yours as well thank you for sharing this May god be with you forever

Thank you for sharing your testimony. Sometimes things happen in our lives and at the time we don't understand why this is happening. But like you say God knows the bigger picture. We have to experience bad life, so we know what is good and better. But remembering that God never abandons us, he is forever there.

I feel like this idea of feeling hurt or abandoned by God whenever he takes away a spouse/friend from you life is really popular. For me it is always encouraging to know that, as she said, God has BETTER for you. Just keep following Him, and soon He'll show you that He only took away that "silver coin" so He could hand you a "gold bar" instead! Thank you for sharing this!
When I was little I didn't like to go to church because my mom would force me too (and I started going to church at a very young age) . But as I got older and understanding who Jesus was and how he died for our sins. I suddenly started to love going to church and seeking for gods word. Then my mom got cancer when I was like in 7th grade I don't remember. But I never turned away from God. But i would question him a lot. Like asking why her she is such a great Christian. But I just put all my faith to him and would ask to watch over her. And then he healed her her cancer went away. And I knew that God was hearing all of our prayers. That's when I God a lot closer to him. But now she got cancer again. But a lot more. And I kinda realized now that He probably made my mom sick because now she knows what is there to expect and shes kicking cancers butt right now. Now I realize the phrase "things happen for a reason" I love going to church and worshipping to him and hearing the amazing sermons.

Girl I feel you... I started to cry when you cried. It's crazy how there's so many different testimonies in the world you'd think they're all too different but some people have gone through the same exact things you've been through...the same exact things that even I been through...And something about that just makes me feel like I'm not alone... I'm not the only person that's been feeling the feelings I've been feeling, going through the things I've been going through, because there's someone out there who is or has gone through it all too. It just gives me a reassurance that God will pull me out of all these emotions and tribulations... and I won't always feel the way I feel. After all, life shouldn't be lived by the things we feel, cuz our emotions end up controlling everything we do and effect everything around us. Our focus should be on God and how He truly sees us... nothing less. God bless you 💙

Hey Rach, I'm a Christian and a Filipino too. I have been following your channel ever since and this is such a brave and inspiring move to be public about Jesus. I just wanna tell you that God isnt the source of the bad things that come to our lives. He is not the kind of God that needs to send you a bad boyfriend just to redeem you out of it and prove His goodness. Your boyfriend coming into your life and eventually leaving you is a fruit of his own freewill. What God does however is redeem you out of every situation you get yourself into. I believe if you stayed with your boyfriend, God is still going to redeem that. And if you left, God also redeems that. He loves you and honors your free will and redeems every decision you make out of the maturity of your heart to hear His voice. Proud of you!

I focused on the guy and left God things back , and when we broke up my heart was destroyed , I promised my self not to fall in love ever again , and like you I blamed him , I was completely destroyed because we dated over 4 years , but then after a while I fell in love with this guy that's completely amazing That God has given me , I totally love him , we both put God as the center of our relationship, that's when I understood that God let things happen , to let us see what he wants for , he wants us to experience thing and that for later on we would know what's right .

If a relationship doesn't have Lord Jesus at the head of the union then it will fail (I know from recent experience).
This is awesome...I have a similar testimony...i didn't feel resentment to God but i did grow into a more intimate relationship with God because of it...It hurt alot but God helped me overcome...I thought i was focusing on God but fhe relationship played a higher value in my heart at the time...God needed my attention and Im happy for is because out of that storm came a ray of sunshine....I thankyou for sharing..You are beautiful and God adores you...I love you sis stay focused on God and all things will be added unto you

oh Wauw it's literally the same story as mine. I mean the situation is the same and I had the same problem about my priority only difference she was a unbeliever. I felt even when I left god he came back for me and gave me so much peace that my sadness became less. now I'm looking for God's plan for my life. thx for your testimony it gave me more courage :D

I was in a similar situation. I only went to church so I could be with my boyfriend. I decided to commit myself fully to God after my 2 1/2 relationship with my boyfriend ended. it took me only a month to get over him because I sought after God reading my bible and singing praises to him for bringing out of an abusive, manipulative relationship. Now I have been with my current boyfriend for 6 1/2 almost 7 months. He treats me like a queen and he is so wonderful.
Beautiful testimony Rachel! I was in a 6 month relationship with a man named Tony and after he left me it crushed me, but God told me that he wasn't for me. When we were together, I was so distance from the Lord. I am glad God got me through everything that He did.

I took notice you said you've been a Christian your whole life, but growing up in church and being baptized/dedicated doesn't make you saved. You have to repent to be saved.Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. (John 3:3) Romans 10 tells you how to be saved:That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Wow I been just going thru CZcams tryna find answers of why I feel so distance from God. I just felt empty and I been trying to understand I would pray and ask God why do I feel this way. So here I am watching testimonies on CZcams but none could touch my heart, so I clicked on ur testimony without even thinkin bout it I wasn't expecting anything but I thank God and thank u for sharing ur testimony I finally understand why I been trying so hard to be closer to God again but it seems like it ain't workin and it's bcuz of my boyfriend I love him soooo much and I just realized now that I been putting him 1st in my life the same thing u did. I'm not just far away from God but from my family and friends too. God had to take him far away from me, and we can't even communicate but instead of going back to God I found myself blocking out everything and getting ready to leave everything I love behind.Going to the Army is never been something I wanted to do, but here I am 1 month away from shipping out, why? cuz I been trying to find answers and when I couldn't find any I decided to start all over again. What makes you a Christian? People cannot be one their whole life. There has to be a point when you are born again into God's family.
@Leah Ingraham I think she means a believer. Brought in to the world and brought up by Christians or believers without any question. But as with all children, they have to meet the Lord, Himself and surrender their lives to him. Other people say I'm a Catholic, Muslim, Protestant, athiest, and again, that's their understanding of identity from birth. Hence, you must be born again...becoming a true follower and disciple of Jesus.
My grandmother was a christian her whole life. Sure she sinned, but that doesn't stop a person from being christian.
I think that maybe you still don't understand the severity of this breakup. A true follower of Jesus is to remain pure until marriage which means that as followers of Christ we don't have boyfriends or girlfriends. A guy and a girl agree to courtship with the goal of getting married all the while asking Jesus through prayer for permission to marry. I hope this helps. Jesus bless you!
Emanuel Gomez AMEN This Is So True. The Bible Only Speaks On Engagement & Marriage. The main purpose for courting(interviewing for marriage) someone is to see if you should get engaged. And the engagement process is only a period of time to confirm(it will reveal itself) whether or not this is the person you should be marrying. Nothing more or nothing less. Until the wedding vowels are exchanged and the marriage is official their should be no intimacy or other marital things taken place.
If we as God's people would take this process instead of the worlds way of doing things, a lot of unnecessary relationships & emotional things we go through would not have to take place. Yes we may still encounter disappointment{this way you will have the best chance of not making a mistake and missing God's best} but the collateral damage would be almost none existent. And we can continue to go forth as a whole person. I believe this is God's way & the best way for superior results in a life long marital relationship that will be pleasing unto the LORD.
Actually we are all sinners so there is no definition of a "true believer." He has redeemed us, so there is nothing we can do that will make us unworthy of His love.

I am honestly blessed I bumped into this video , I recently as well went through a hard break up with someone I really love , and I as well lost myself thinking this person was my life . I don't understand why these things happened but I know God has a purpose and to hear those words and your testimony really uplifted my spirit ! God bless you !

I was born and brought up in the UK (London). My parents originally came from Goa, India.I came to a point in my life being raised a catholic that I felt God was so far away that if I died tomorrow I would not go to heaven. I was concerned about that! So I began searching..A newspaper came through our door one day called “Good News”. It contained stories of people who had received joy, they had come to know the Lord after they had repented (being sorry for their sins), and asked Jesus to come into their life (as the bible says). Their lives at this point changed and they received a Joy that they could not explain. Reading their stories made me want the same thing, as I did not have that as a religious person. So I too did the same and experienced that joy. It was wonderful. I began to read my catholic bible.. little by little, I began to read that I as a catholic was not doing the same things that the bible said to do, but when I did do them, I experienced more joy and peace. And I did feel like everything was new, I began to get convicted when I did something wrong, and eventually the Lord led me out of all the religious traditions that I used to do as a catholic.I came to know the truth and the truth set me free! Jesus is the ONLY way the truth and the life! No man comes to the Father but by Him! Jesus is the only Mediator between God and man. Call no religious leader father, as the bible says. The bible really opens your eyes to the truth. Be a bible believing Christian not a follower of religion, because Jesus has come to give life and life in all it’s fullness. And from the bible, Jesus is going to judge us (John 12:48). It’s everything!

I did the exact same thing dude. I started to question God on why He’d bring someone into my life is he was just gonna leave. Everything I did consisted the thought of the guy I believed God sent to me. I really needed to see this. Thank you so much for sharing your testimony.
