Indeed. He was right a lot. The problem with a person like that is they think they are right about everything. Get some medicinal help for an easily curable disease fam. Don't play rush and roulette with your life.
Tbh, I feel like there still kind of is some of that inspiration. I think after the iPhone, apple was always headed in that direction. It’s just less obvious now that there are more products in the lineup, but we do see that passion re-emerge every once in the blue moon with products such as the iPhone X, iPad Pro, new Mac Pro, AirPods, Apple Watch, HomePod, more recently Vision Pro, and even Apple Pencil. There’s a reason why Steve wanted Tim to succeed him (I believe the 2 were good friends, with Tim even offering to give Steve some of his blood to help him live, though Steve refused the offer). Even if Tim is more of a businessman than Steve, he still shares at least some of that passion for making products, and it shows
I disagree, under Tim cook Apple has released more new products than ever , MKBHD uses a lot of products where Tim Cooks vision moves the marbles. Moving entire Apple product line to ARM processor, Apple Pencil, Apple Watch, Airpods, Airpods pro and Max, Apple Speaker, Such advanced. Apple TV, Apple Displays, Upgradeable relaunch of Mac Pro, Mac Mini, Much changes in iPhones at every level. And recently Apple Vision. Apple retracked so many decisions and corrected mistakes under cook quickly. relaunched headphone jack, added hdmi port, re introduced lightning cable, and SD card reader. Also send worst retail marketing executive Angela Ahrendts for Gardening holiday. A lot goes behind Apples doors that gets executed these new products cannot be released without vision. Apple is a better functioning company now than the whims and fancies of Jobs. Jobs was famous for denying feature request to users and we struggled for years with poorly designed low featured software because Steve didnt want the interface to be complicated. Steve has his role as great arbiter of taste but he was not an efficient manager, and execution is everything in business.
Misinformation is what I read. Tim Cook had never been a product guy. He’s all about logistics. One story in particular is when Jony Ive set a meeting with Apple management to talk about the possibility of creating the Apple Watch and Tim Cook didn’t even care to attend.
@@elcarmiAnd that’s why Jony left four years ago. Steve didn’t choose Tim to be a products guy; he chose him to keep the company going for as long as possible. Tim was a great operations guy, so he’s only good at day to day operations.
steve was a visionary

Steve Jobs is an inventor. Tim Cook is a CEO.
This dude is brilliant. Besides knowing all there is to know about tech, he's great at explaining things.

Steve Jobs cared about quality.
Tim Cook cares about money.
That's what happens when you put the CFO in charge of the company...
