I convert Real Vespa and Real Lambretta (pre 1970) to electric and I have zero problems charging. My scooters charge from a standard household plug. And have switch for going 120v or 220v and charge in speed charge of 15% to 85% in 12 minutes. And Lithium Titrate batteries means my battery operating temperatures are minus 45c to plus 50c. 72v 5kw and 0-60 kph in 1.3 seconds, top speed of 160 kph So unless it could compete with my set up there is NO e scooter that comes close to mine not even Tesla. My 110 ah 72 v Battery allows me 710 kilometres per charge. The best thing about this model s01 is the correctly designed and mounted right sided swing arm with the single shaft hub motor. However Hub motors are extremely inefficient. The Best motors are mounted permanently on the swing arm then run a chain from it to the lay shaft of the rear wheel. Great Video mate!

I was test-driving one of the first 500 production with the 4.2kWh battery (seen it on the label) from 2019 and now I own one by myself with a 5.6kWh battery, produced 15th of january 2020. In addition I had direct contact to Silence, Spain about this topic. To be sure, ask your dealer. For sure there are still some scooters at dealers from the first production (for test driving) which they want to sell. Take the battery out, it's written on the back, including the production date. The ones with 4.2 battery should be less and there are some minor differencies to the actual ones.
Then buy it, it's the best in it's class at the moment.

I live in Spain and I'm thinking about purchasing a new Silence S01, and I'd like to ask you a question, if you can help me: The scooter has a combined braking system, and in some models from other manufacturers, if you brake with both hands at the same time, if you brake for instance with the left lever, you can fell something in the right lever, like a pulse, or that the lever moves a little bit, which I don't like... can you please let me know if this Silence scooter does it? I hope that it doesn't, and it feels as any other normal scooter without combined brakes 😅😅😅

@@deltajohnny All vehicles (scooters or motorbikes) of this L3e class in Europe have combined brakes by law. The left lever brakes in front and rear, the right lever only front, which just adds to the braking force at the front from the left lever. You don't feel any interaction between the levers. Make a test ride! Should be no problem in spain.

Yes, when I was in the market for a 125cc scooter, I finally purchased a Honda sh 125, with ABS brakes, and other models which did not include ABS had all combined brakes, which is a very good idea for those without lots of experience in motorcycles 👍👍👍 I'm really happy that the Silence is made so that there are no strange interactions in the levers!! 👏👏👏👏😅😅😅😅

I have a large full face helmet that fits under the front end of the seat, but the seat won't close (by about 1/2 cm) if I put it in the rear section. The second helmet would not have to be much smaller to fit. Take the bike with you and try it for fit when you buy a helmet for your pillion passenger.

    Save CO2, sure. eco hypocrite!
How so? Did you charged your bike at solar panel?
of course no, you took it from e-socket, 95% electric power generate atom, coal, gas, oil!
mean you burn coal/gas to generate electric instead to use oil direct. why the hell it should be better for ecosystem?
efficiency go more down the more you change energie (from gas to electricity - electricity to movement).
There is no statistic who say clear how much you really save CO2 with electric car/bike.
electric power is only cheap because you don´t pay same taxes as by gasoline!!
you can be sure when the government miss billions of income taxes from gasoline the taxes of electric power will rise immediately.
So many important information the eco activist don´t tell us. If we look at the whole picture (produce of electric, transport, save. produce - repair - disposal of windmill/solar panel, lifespan...) how much we do really save CO2? And how expensive will it be?
