  • Here’s a clean little build we did for our buddy John from Roaming Lost.
    He’s new to moto and wanted to start out with his new bike cleaning up the erratic and disappointing stock power, simplify the tail end, add some guards and protection and improve the usefulness of the bike for now while he continues to gain more practice and experience on it.
    He’ll be back to the Taco Shop with it later for some routine maintenance and more upgrades and we’ll document the mods and ownership experience as he goes along.
    Some of our parts on this build were:
    DynoJet Power Commander 5
    Pro Moto Billet end cap
    Tuff Light rear signals
    Taco Moto Co front signals
    Odi Rouge grips
    Acerbis fork shoe guards
    Bridgestone ultra heavy duty tubes
    Taco Moto Co wheel weights
    Slime tube sealant
    Tusk Recon rear tire
    Enduroplate
    PC Racing filter gasket
    PC Racing filter skin
    Moto Minded filter disk
    Bullet Proof Designs radiator guards
    P3 Racing pipe guard
    Taco Moto Co smog delete kit

    that power commander worked wonders!

    Mine should be in today. I have to say this bike is super impressive stock, with a couple air restrictions throughout the bike removed of course. I feel it rides better with less air restrictions. Flew through some rocky PA trails with nothing but rock garden on the incline. Things a beast and I smile ear to ear. Now I'm just psyched to get this PCV installed today.

    Nice work. I’m a big fan of Dynojet. So much bang for the buck and glad to see you’re mentioning, it’s an off road bike😉 I think it’s a good idea to adapt that language when we’re talking about modifying street bikes.
    Love my Tuff Lites. I mounted them in the same location on my 2017 350. They are the Timex Watch of turn signals. They take a beatin and keep on blinkin.

      The Dynojet is proving to be the best piggy back tuners we’ve ever tested. Astonishing how well they work.
      Tuff signals are great too.

    Love my 2023 350s. Bought every part that the Taco Shop sells. Get ecu really woke it up. Kreft has the suspension right now should be fun

    This one was interesting, it seemed much more of a budget build with just a piggyback ecu, end cap, delete kit, and some minor protection pieces along with the tires. Nice variety!

    I have a 2020 FE 350 (non-s) and was thinking about the vortex ecu. Would the vortex experience similar power output as the dyno jet? and are any supporting mods necessary to install the ECU? I would like to do the smog delete, and the o2 delete, but it seems that is not 100% necessary? Thank you for your time Taco Moto

  • @RayzGarage
    @RayzGarage Před rokem

    Good video. I just ordered the end cap and PC 6 with a remote map button for my 501s. Should I have ordered a O2 delete kit? I also wanted one of those breather hoses but you only had it in green so I passed.

    Question. Can I put the end cap only and will affect the mapping ? Or do I have to go all out and remap ?

    i have read the craziest things about oil change intervals on this bike. how often would you say it needs to be done with normal street riding?

    • @TACOMOTOCO
      @TACOMOTOCO  Před 2 lety

      Using a group v ester based oil like Motul 7100 and a high end filter like our magnet unit can go up to 1500 miles

    I have a 2023 fe350s, and was reading it has 45 hp from the factory, is there something dramatically different about the '23s?

    • @Mephiston21
      @Mephiston21 Před rokem

      I’ve read that too and I think it’s being miss quoted by publications… unless I’m also missing someone, cause I’d you read about the 501s you’ll also see 45 mentioned from factory.

      dyno numbers

    • @TACOMOTOCO
      @TACOMOTOCO  Před 4 lety +2

      Dyno numbers that I can’t produce on the factory dyno at the Dynojet corporate office and they’re the number one dyno producer in the world, trusted for a reason.
      Who do you think is blowing smoke up our asses? A guy in CZcams or Dynojet?
      Fake dyno numbers are used in all of power sports to sell farkle all the time. If you follow the car and diesel truck worlds BS power numbers are the majority of all that’s out there

    • @Papparratzi
      @Papparratzi Před 4 lety +1

      BDSB channels dyno said the 2020 350s STOCK dyno at 44hp
      Mikes Dyno test was close to 32hp and Dirt Riders was 37hp.
      I’m not sure what elevation and temperature plus humidity the test were run at plus how they were broke in but I’d guess when Mike said no way, he was referring too 44hp stock.
      This tells me his inflated results are more likely caused by a faulty dyno set up than just gross exaggeration

    • @koul_2482
      @koul_2482 Před 3 lety

      @ 3:20 he says stock form has 31 hp, then he says after all the upgrades its 43 hp. There's are huge increase in hp after changing the pipe and fueling. Bdsb would say 43 hp stock, 55 hp with his upgrades, big difference, bdsb scews his numbers so much, 70 hp on a stock 500 engine, with his upgrades? Calling bs, good marketing tactic if you're stupid though
