Jonas vs. Tadej is turning into one of the all-time great rivalries. Especially if Pog wins this year. Both riders are tremendous talents. It's fun to watch.

No replacement for him hes incredible best signing for UAE. This team today looked as cohesive as Giro squad and in a Tour mountain stage thats something to be proud of. It is an important stage and maybe is invited to participate as his team has no play in the final event.
Now who wants to win the tour must attack and try to get time, even if Tadej does not want to go to the last stage, the ITT with 2 minutes advantage, because he knows is a great risk, if nothing happens normally Pogacar can win the tour with the 2 minutes, but if a mechanic problem or a crash happens he could lose the race, so he will try to get the biggest time gap he can to go to the ITT relaxed and perform the best he can

Pogi was perhaps sandbagging Jonas the other day by "letting" him catch up and win the stage so that in THIS more important stage, Jonas might think that he'd be able to do the same thing. Clever tactics . . . VERY clever of Pogi and UAE . . . HUGE respect to Jonas - never could anyone imagine such a strong comeback after his near death experience only months ago!!
I think Pogi bonked because of lack of fuel. The other thing to remember is Jonas had extra fuel because he was trying to show he was recovered from his near death experience, so keeping up with Pogi for 1 stage was doable. Now he has to do that stage after stage, which I don't think he can do this year.
Do you really believe that he was nearly death experience? C'mon, with such consequences of falling he still be recovering not cycling. A fairy tale....

all these analyst are way too conservative. In football there is an expression with playing prevent defense, 'it prevents you from winning'. yeah, if Pogacar's legs aren't feeling it then ride defensively. but if you have the team and the legs you have to push boundaries. I don't think Tadej wants to go to stage 21 up 1 minute and then lose the whole thing in the TT's.
not to mention they underestimate his abilities in the climbs. The two are nearly identical in the climbs with a few blow up stages from Tadej.
Very exciting race. A long way to go yet though. Jonas’s team were missing in action relative to Pog’s today. Because of that, it’s hard to tell yet whether there are any significant cracks in Jonas’s form. As far as Pog goes, you have to love his champion’s fighting spirit. In the Eurosport commentary team there is a transparent and cringeworthy bias from Adam in favour of Jonas. Unprofessional.

All today proved is that Tadej can't win the tour on his own, just like Jonas can't either. Jonas is not in best form and also has a weak team this time. Missing especially Sepp Kuss hurts.
