It's really unbelievable that this engine got made, and yet some companies (cough, Kawasaki, cough) did not immediately switch to 270-degree cranks on parallel twins. Like, if I had a Ninja 650 I'd be looking to split the cases and cut the crank up and do whatever it takes to ditch the sewing machine and get this gnarly sound the CP2 Yamahas have.

Yamaha nailed the sound the CP2 engine makes! 👌🏼

Are you not worried about deer or other wildlfie crossing the road when riding at that speed? Nice riding though!

For me .Arrow titanium 72649PK slip on full exhaust with Dna stage 2 air filter is the best sound ever !

Respect you’re only using the quick shifter going up but manually going down. Very smooth too. Something I’ve noticed these days, no one knows how to use a clutch well. Everyone just quick shifts up and down. Well done 🍻

Sounds a bit similar to my father's old yamaha rx on the high rpms and on those crackles. Brought back lots of good memories.

Thank you for your upload. I owned xt 660 r 2004 and I sold it 10 years ago. This video brings me the chills and excitement I had long ago and I dream that one day I will be able to own Yamaha enduro once again, hopefully Tenere. Such a great video
