@@wuxiagamescentral Ty Thompson isn't bad either. He has shit to work on and then he'll be great. The whole gameplan never came together for Brown and Cristobal. Not consistently at least. Brown's last game he put up insane level stats and still got constant hate from fans right after. Whereas Ty Thompson is greeted with a standing ovation as a 2nd string qb against Eastern Washington. I was the one who pointed out to the crowd that Thompson was putting his headphones on and then his helmet on cause they were about to play him. And I was the first to stand and clap for him. I support Thompson fully even if he only amounts to a Darren Thomas.
i felt exactly the same way...its easy to blame 1 guy but that was a whole team debacle and imho nix did all he could...really only one bad throw im my book...lots of qbs threw interceptions weak 1

Solid game from Oregon. Really exposed BYUs apparently much improved defense. BYU looked lost defensively: lost the battle at the line of scrimmage consistently, struggled to put pressure on the quarterback (nothing new there, really) and struggled in pass coverage.
On the flip side, BYUs offensive line has been hyped quite a bit and has some big dudes with solid experience, but they surely struggled today. Props to Oregon’s defensive front to shut down the run.
Props to this new Oregon coaching staff to pick up a good win.
As a long-time BYU fan, I’ve nothing but respect for Oregon in this game. They made BYU look laughably bad in large stretches of the game.
Hopefully BYU can put together a solid season to make this win all the more impressive for the Ducks.

bruh byu is missing some of their best defensive lineman, but i do agree it was all over the place. idk where their heads were at but they were not in the game, that’s for sure. i feel like it’s been awhile since they’ve played THAT bad for the first 3 quarters of a game. they were obviously not ready to play this team. it’s probably best that they lost this early on. they can get the losing out of their system so they can come back strong and fired up to win the rest of the season. watch wyoming get a beat down they didn’t ask for lol.

I was there!!!! First game in 24 years at Autzen after moving back to Eugene. Thought this would be closer. Oregon took it right to them in the first half and never looked back. Should handsomely move up in CBS poll. To 18 or19 would be nice-depending on what other teams lose. BYU will surely drop from 12th. It was loud. "Makes me want to SHOUT! SHOUT"!

I’m a fan of BYU’s arch rival (Utah), and honestly BYU isn’t a bad team. What they’re missing is speed, particularly on defense. If they get that along with those big Tongan guys on their line, that’s a pretty respectable team. They could get that when they join the Big 12.
Those BYU white boys should have won at Floriduh It was the humidity that got them. GA is just on another level right now.

As I mentioned last week, the plan is to win out, then squeak by Georgia in the Natty 27 - 26. Two meaningless late scores by the Cougs made the score a lot closer than it actually was.

Dan lanning is so much better then cristobal it’s night and day they actually have a explosive offensive again that doesn’t run up the middle every play and cristobal was afraid to throw it more then 6 yards down the field cristobal sucked at game management also
Good observations on the coaching style difference. Cristobal's offense was boring and conservative. Imagine what Lanning could have done with Justin Herbert at QB. Herbert was completely underutilized in his senior season by Cristo
I always knew it was Cristobal and not Anthony Brown
Cristobal was also afraid to use any of his depth which I think hurt the development of the younger players Dan lanning uses everybody and I love that everybody is gonna have experience and be able to step up when needed
Cristobal did build our line though which looked great today. Wish Cristobal was still at Oregon but just as an assistant head coach or offensive line coach

I attended this game. Autzen is rad. 3 take aways: 1) the creativity & versatility of Oregon’s offense. 2) BYU is a good team-but will never be a great team. 3) Georgia is lightyears ahead of the pack.

The score shows this game being a lot closer than it was. I'm sure Georgia is stoked to see Oregon showing up to play. We are alot better than most people thought after week 1. Coach Lanning is building something at Oregon, and it doesn't happen over night, but we are witnessing it. Go Ducks, I'm excited for next weekend.
Not really we took out nix and our 1st team defense and gave up 2 scores bc of it, real score should be 45+ to 7

As Oregon fans can we take a second to appreciate the job Camden Lewis has done for the past 3.5-4 years… he struggled back in 2019 at first but he’s held in there ever since and gotten better and better, to still be the trusted kicker after all this time is pretty impressive because kickers are usually thrown around like crazy. Held out of precaution. They felt he could go , but wanted to keep him ready for conference play.
He was dropped on his head as a child but other than that he's fine.

The only question for the Ducks is what will become of the them, along with the "other" Pac 12 teams when the good schools leave next year?. Personally, I think they will reorganize with other similar schools, Boise St., Fresno St., UNLV, University of Hawaii, New Mexico St., University of Montana, etc. and form the "Miscellany 11" conference. If so, good luck getting TV time anywhere on the planet

I watched the game and as a GA fan I always pull against Floriduh. But the only reason Floriduh beat those Utah White boy's was the humidity. You could really tell by the 4th qt. You got our defensive coordinator Dan Lanning, just give him a chance and a few years and he will have Oregon a West Coast powerhouse. Just hide and watch. I never really cared for any football outside of the SEC but the Ducks are my favorite West Coast team. Good luck with the rest of your season guys.

That second half really showed Oregons lack of depth. They almost let BYU back into the game when they pulled starters.. I was really expecting sewell to do big things in the pass rush this year. Hes kinda disappeared.
