I am a Karachi born Hindu.We migrated to India in 1947.My Mother' left cooked meals in the kitchen.We left Karachi in a boat.We were dropped at Kandla port instead of bringing us to Mumbai. I am a Microbiologist and a Dental surgeon too. I am happy that we migrated to India and I don't have to live with JAHILS of Pakistan.

Dr Ambedkar's book Pakistan Or the Partition of India is also a very good book addressing the issue of partition in detail. It encompasses each and every aspect of partition. Must read for any person interested in partition history and get a good perspective and knowledge on it. Also applause to the panel for such an intellectual dialogue. Both Prof Ishtiaq Sir and Dr. Shakeel Sir were a treat to hear from. Mr Tahir a great host conducting the talk in such a wonderful manner.

as a brahmin I deeply respect Dr Ambedkar he was very sensed about islamism and psudo secularism of nehru and gandhi when he converted he choosed to accept budhism not leaving the dharmic fold instead of converting into abrahamic faith.

I am an IELTS trainer, based in Kolkata. Of late, I have been teaching many students from Pakistan and interacting with them on many issues, apart from IELTS. I find absolutely no bitterness and cordiality. But,, perhaps, all my students are young and highly educated. But, I see no hatred towards India.

As a Pakistani living in USA I must say we need to change the school history curriculum/Syllabus and teach the kids the truth about themselves. We have big identity crisis and Islamic ignorance if not tamed, then Pakistan will domed completely. Neither there will be recovery or rescue. It was Zia Ul Haq who sowed the seeds of the Pakistan crisis today . In the 1980s, he brought in religious nationalism as the identity for Pakistan. This has made real issues of modern education, health, security , economy get overlooked and go out of the window.

But the sad part is majority of the Pakistani population don't listen to these gems. And don't pay any heed. Their discussion heals all the wounds of past and melt us, but the reality is different. Pakistani Punjabi Sunni Muslim have immense hatred for Hindus and India. And this is 💯 truth.

The panelists have agreed that the two nation theory has failed and that Pakistan was created on the basis of hatred. But there are two more reasons which go along with these. First, the elites and politicians of Pakistan have painted Bharat as their enemy no.1 and towards this end they have made Hindus as enemies of Islam. Second, the elites and politicians of Pakistan have foisted on the Pakistani madarsa system of education. This has stunted the rationale thinking of the Pakistanis. Third, again, the elites and politicians of Pakistan have allowed the fringe to become the mainstream. These three ailments have afflicted the muslim intelligentsia of Bharat too.
Sadly, Bharat is following suit in one aspect (I am talking of Hinndus). The fringe in Bharat is, more and more, asserting as the mainstream. I shudder to think of the consequences for Bharat if this trend continues for 10 years.

I am an Indian living in Vancouver, Canada. This is the first time I have seen a truly intellectual discussion by Pakistanis. Unfortunately, this is not a Pakistani TV show. No TV channel in Pakistan has the guts to show this on Pakistani soil, Now the whole world, including middle eastern countries, are telling Pakistan to accept the reality of Kashmir after 75 years of fruitless conflicts. If Pakistan wants to survive they have to stop cross border terrorism, forget Kashmir and make relationship with the 5th largest economy of the world that is India. But the corrupt politicians and Pakistan Army will never allow this to happen. Because they always benefited in the game of India and Hindu hatred. How can a nation survive based on hatred????

British have decided to partition India no matter what. British ignored those Muslims and Hindus who were against the creation of Pakistan. They only promoted Jinnah, Gandhi and Ambedkar, Jogen Mandal who were all for the creation of Pakistan. These people named above were pro-Raj, wanted the British to stay in India and rule us. Those Muslims, who were against the Partition, Khaksars, Khudai Khitmadgars, Balochs, Sindhis, were also against the British.

Just finished Prof. Istiaqs book on Jinnah. Very detailed, open minded, vivid and scholarly. We are lucky to have him at this discussion.
Main to 1944-45 mein tuition ek muslim teacher se ghar per padhta tha .Yeh baat Chandpur Siau ki hai.us time Tak Khan paan zaroo alag tha lekin we were friends .My father was a pure pandit Even then his friends were Muslims a guard Zulfikar Hussain and a goods clerk Gulam Nabi. Bur after Direct action of Jinnah in 1946 Hindus were slaughtered without any reasons .There at Chandpur in October at Muharram Muhammdans Looted Hindus and murdered.From that time trust beached. And in 1947 PAKISTAN Bana almost all Hindu were looted and slaughtered.Then whatever efforts we Indians made in AMAN KI ASHA from general public to the level of P.M. tried so many time.INDIANS are now fed-up with efforts to achieve Aman ki Asha. India left the thought to even talk to Pakistan.

It is such a relief to listen to such calm and rational voices and I hope that they can achieve the peace and harmony and actually the simple fun and laughter that indeed we can share ...Indians and Pakistanis...after all ...we are of the same land. Jinnah was wrong in arguing that because of Muslims and Hindus being two separate communities/nations, it was important to give a separate country to Muslims. Now, I am Pakistani-origin Hindu, but if I now embrace Islam, which nation shall I belong to? I am sixth of seven brothers, of whom five oldest are dead. Now only I and my younger brother have survived. If I become a Muslim now, will I stop being a brother to my seventh brother? In 1971 I thought we saw the end of two-nation theory. But no, Pakistan lives and thrives on Anti-Hindu and Anti-India philosophy. I in India as a non-Muslim shall never trust Pakistan or Pakistanis.

It was Hindu hegemony caused Muslims to think about creating Pakistan.
Let me give you example. In 1930’s my older brother was wishing to be admitted at the Jubilee High School in Sunamganj in East Bengal. When my father was a 8 villages Zamindar took him to get my brother admitted, he was told no seats were available for Muslim students. With disappointment my father came to his Estate Attorney’s office and told him what had happened in the High School. The Attorney informed my father that Chief Minister of Asam was visiting Sunamganj and staying at circuit house, let us visit the Chief Minister. Incidentally, the Chief Minister had visited our house twice and offered nominations of Khan Bahadur titles to my father from the British. So, the Chief Minister knew my father.
Long story short. My father and his attorney approached the Chief Minister and told about the problem getting his son admitted in high school. After hearing that the Chief Minister got angry and asked his assistant to get that bugger; means, Head Master of school to him. When Head Master came Chief Minister ordered him to get my brother to be admitted. That was the situation when Hindus were more powerful acting on behalf of their English Masters. My brother would not have been admitted hadn’t the Chief Minister of the Asam province intervened in spite of the fact that my father was a Zamindar. If Hindus treated Muslims honorably, perhaps there would be a separate nation called Pakistan.
