Just wanted to thank you Elias for what you did on that last order I made. Really appreciate it.
I’m liking this format; more please!
Hey Elias! Just want to thank you on your trip to the Florida Keys! Using your jig techniques and lures helped me a ton landing awesome fish! You showed me another secret weapon that I never thought possible! Can't wait till you come back down! Still enjoy when you're home but the Keys is still the best!
You made it happen! Thank you for all the effort you put in!
Clams! Fishing with our local NYC transplant! I'm right up the road from Elias.
A fine balance! Fishing, as good as it gets in a difficult season, and then a guest chef with a tasty cooking lesson. Looking forward to more from the Keys. Have a safe drive.
Great video, catch and cooks with local chefs would be cool.
Watch Will & his buddy in the Keys all the time. Good to see him here local on your channel.
I could see the stress just melt away from you Elias after you caught that Red. Pressure off!
Bruh, I love how some of my favorite CZcamsrs are collaborating. 👌
Threw a 1/32 oz underspin last week looking for crappie, which i don't target and have almost zero experience with, and the largemouth were fired up. Was running 4lb test, caught several between 1-2lb, one 4lb, and lost one between 8-10lb, that i fought for between 15&20 mins before the little hook pulled.
I wasn't even really heartbroken, i knew i was in trouble and was just happy to get him to the bank and get a look at him
I like to use St.Croix Triumph Light action like that, even catch carp and decent cats on them. LOTS of fun to be had !
The tough days are sometimes the most rewarding
Hmm,I guess there's a new favorite way to prepare Redfish at the Elias household.Awesome ,my eyeballs were watering.
I think fishing from a boat is not your thing but, I believe you would slay the pelagic on the West coast.
Yaaaay... Back to the Keys! 👍
I’m an OG subscriber from back in the Jamaica bay / NYC fishing vids. Days. Good to see your still doing this.
I've been watching the old yankee fishing vids out of nostalgia lately
Great to see Will in town! Get Dibs to come next!
my mouth started to water when you started eating!
Awesome video! I watch Jose’s channel as well so it was great to see both you together ❤
Great video, great culinary work. Looked fantastic.
Good luck heading south to the Keys. The weather should be nice and warm.
Cheers
I discovered sumac a few years ago on a cooking radio show. It quickly became one of my favorite seasonings. Really good on chicken and potatoes, too.
Your fishing x chef collabs are always awesome
Winter fun! Thanks, Elias
You learn a lot from Will and he for sure stole some of your amazing fishing tricks and skills. Good work.
UL spinning gear is so much fun...I have two UL spinning outfits I use in early spring...a Daiwa 200o LT legalis on BOS Panfish Elite 6'2" light action rod and a shimano Sahara 1000 FL on a 7' 13 fishing Fate Silver light action rod...a 10-12" White Perch puts up a great fight on these!
Sopes de Red Fish that was awesome I need to try that... Cool video I enjoy the Cooking part a lot. I'm From Mexico and Sopes is one of my favorites foods 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great colab. Big fan of both you guys. Thank you for sharing
I’ve been fishing Wilmington area lately and haven’t caught anything but black drum and a few trout. Very jealous of the striper and red.
Season those fillets and let them sit in the fridge for an hour. Makes a big difference in flavor.
Sick video, didn’t expect to see Will here!
good to see you
I love recipes that leave me saying "I could do that!" It looked awesome. Thanks!
Hello Elias, your CZcams channel is awesome, and so is Wills channel. It would be awesome if you would do a collaboration with the key west waterman since you’re going back to the keys. That would be one heck of a show.
Redfish is one of my favorite fish to eat
Very cool dude. Very much enjoy your content!
You had to be dying inside when he left all that red on the filets.
Small paddle-tail baits called "Crappie Sliders" don't get hung up as much, if at all. They come with a light a wire hook designed to be Texas rigged. "Charlie Brewer's Crappie Sliders" is the proper name. They come in many colors & combinations. The same company has a line of small straight worms that are mounted on similar hooks that are a finesse technique for Bass.
I’ll check them out thanks Woody!
I didn't know Clams came from NY. He does some pretty interesting stuff.
Guess I'm the only one that eats largemouth, I keep the crap out of them just to piss off tournament guys lol
I can say from experience, gar taste’s incredible and I’d put it up against most of the popular edible fish species. They’re a PITA to fillet, but well worth it. Try it!
I was hoping to see ya pull some Crappie out ! Nice video!
Nice red bro
Great collab. I was hoping that Elias would hook up with Key West Waterman while he was down in Key West as well.
YUM
You should've cooked the LMB 😂. The comment section would be hilarious.
Red drum is top tier table fare outside of snapper and grouper
And that guy knows something mangrove is definitely one of the easiest to filet
I was just using my ultralight a few days ago, I forgot how much fun it is.
Have you ever tried going up north to the neuse or pamlico rivers? Would be interesting to see you explore the area!
Been to Neuse a few times
Surf fishing has been so rough. I went for a morning and caught ONE whiting.
Water has been pretty bad by me
Taken my 2 lb mono panfish setups into redfish territory once or twice. It’s…..something 😂
Yeah don’t think it’ll survive haha
Love your vids brother! I am a die hard UL angler. You need a 7'0 or 7'2" ultra light too!!!! 1000 size reel. Use my stuff in both FW and SW. Ladyfish, Schoolie trout or reds are so much fun on UL. Heard they work for Pompano too......
I do have a 7’ one already too 👍
You need to get you together in the keys. You, will, and Aaron aka dibs on bottom.. that would be a good video.
🎣🤙🏼
locaqtion is always nice to know. what area is this? thx
Redfish coated with black pepper.
🤤😋
If you end up liking the sumac seeds I'll send you all you want.
Thats a little foo foo for me but….I am sure it turned out great. I am used to just frying up Redfish fillets with some hush puppies and coleslaw but thats just me!🤣😎
That’s me too - I like to see it done though. I also do like trying to occasionally branch out and challenge myself. But day in and day out what you said!
@@EliasVFishing It looks real nice and I’m sure it tasted good too but I am Southern and grew up on fried fish so I guess its in my blood and my taste buds!😎 Keep up the great vids as I know its tough during winter as everything including fishing slows waaaay down. Tight lines🎣🎣🎣
Where are the crabs that your Red had a fresh one in his gut? Not dug into the bottom like here in NJ, I guess.
I would use a light wire leader for gar. Those teeth are horrendous and sharp.
My Thai girlfriend is pissed if I throw out the Cilantro stems, so I don’t touch it.
Pull through in knife sharpener...... terrible.
