The Family Song is the best song on season 2 that's for sure
I just love the line he says, "a big day deserves a big day song, and that's exactly what the episode death gives us," because the word death is just so out of place there.
Not to mention every time the little duck head hits the word "day" as the last word in the sentence (in the subtitle lyrics of that song), it turns into a skull.
I am so happy someone else placed the stress song at number one, i love how creative and weird the visuals are accompanying the song. I feel it captures the essence of dhmis wonderfully.

The stress song is most definitely the best classic DHMIS song. It satirizes the included mental healthcare/human resources officer behaviors so perfectly and the visuals really do help emphasize how ridiculous it all is. I really loved that the vacation seemed to genuinely be helping duck relax, but he refuses the pills despite them being implied to be similar. Because they aren't. Sometimes we need a break.
I will say Leslie's piano music is my favorite atmospheric music. The subtle implication that she writes all the other music, and that it begins with a sort of ethereal beauty, because music is what she knows, but they other subjects are not, is fascinating as an implication to the arts.
"no thank you to the song todney" makes me cackle everytime I hear yellow say it the delivery is perfect

what i most love about the show is that, when i watched it, i forgot they are puppets. they feel so alive yet they didnt even blink... it's just amazing.
The whole of #9 is referencing all the episodes, businessman is Jobs, Choo Choo is Transport, friendly fellow is Friendship, etc.
The Electricity Song
Episode 6 begins with the three friends receiving a large electricity bill in the mail. After taking a moment to discuss it, they decide that they're not going to pay the bill as they don't believe that electricity is all that important. Naturally, this assertion leads to their fusebox coming to life to teach them all about electricity through the wonders of song and dance.
Not only does the fuse box point out that many of the appliances in the trio's home rely on electricity, but she also uses electricity to improve the ones that don't. This includes turning Yellow Guy's "boring chair" into an electric chair and tearing a hamster in half to reveal that it has some electrical wires inside. The highlight of the song is undoubtedly Duck asking about his beloved shredder though, with the fusebox's frustrated response to his glorious singing and harmonies one of the very best moments of season 1.
Everything you explained that put Warren's song near the bottom is every reason why I love it. I love how hard he's trying, how awkward it is, and just how it sounds in general. He's my favorite character, and his patheticness and song help with that a lot.
My personal favorite is the Big Day Song, because of how juxtaposing it is in its happy, uplifting tone, in sharp contrast to its dark lyrics that would normally be depressing and firmly set in reality, being about their preparing for the funeral of their best friend. For Red Guy and Yellow Guy, they genuinely don't know what death is, despite the many times they've seen it occur around them throughout the CZcams series and the TV show, to the point that they completely forget that they're preparing for a funeral and start making shepherd's pie out of nowhere. It's the juxtaposition and insensitivity in the song that I find really interesting, and something I think only shows like this can pull off with such mastery.
It seemed a lot of people disagree on this topic, my list was quite different.
Also why is Todney's song here and not The Vending Machine song or Time Child?

Here's a fun little easter egg about the Stain Edwards song being claymation and the inclusion of the currents album and mentioning indie bands, the production team for DHMIS made the music video for "It feels like I only go backwards" by Tame Impala just after the DHMIS kicked off big time on CZcams.

My favourite song is one that, surprisingly, wasn’t even on the list. I love the boundaries / sedimentary song.
Not only are there stellar jokes, not only does it feature the big boys, not only are the wildly different lessons woven together perfectly, not only does it break the world of the show by having visible puppeteers, and not only does it meld the teacher’s happiness and enthusiasm with Yellow Guy’s annoyance in a repetitive yet upbeat tune that sounds like something out of a kids show, but it also fricking SLAPS, way harder than it has any right to!
I just love the one-off gag with the time child too much
I also really anjoy the Stress song! Idk why, but the rhythm, the way it sounds, everything, makes my brain release some happy and relaxing chemicals :)
Also, I find it funny how the “try to imagine“ part made me remember those de-stressing or meditation guide videos that tries to take your attention to somewhere else, making you imagine a relaxing and safe ambience for you, so you can forget your surroundings and calm down. But the computer just leads you to absolutely nowhere, leaving you where you started and maybe even more stressed 😅
And it just really makes me sad how this song doesnt properly end, Duck just interrupted midway through :,)
I kind of forgot that Lesley's nursery rhyme didn't technically count as a song, and was just WAITING in anticipation for where you were going to put it on the list.
In the original series it was probably the love song from episode 3. It had a nice melody to it.

Time it good but I feel jumbled and bored 2/3s through it but my personal favourite is Healthy, it properly captures how confusing and contradictory the series is while taking in how with its specific topic is full of misinformation and contradictory points!

The fact my fave is the driving along car song is just shows how every song in this series absolutely slaps!
The Shredder song is always in my head but I gotta say I'm sad to not see the opening/s song as I feel it establishes the vibe every episode in a unique way each time, really putting the meticulous nature of the project at the forefront qithout it being overbearing and saying "ARNT WE SMART?"

Basic break down, he was being instructed to do an exercise (most likely a meditation session), the robotic voice said imagine that all your thought a locked inside a cube, then imagine a library (like an unruly library of thoughts) they all go inside the cube which is duck. Explanation: duck was bottling up his emotions inside *himself*

my favorites are "the big day" and the title song. both of them are really fun and creative and really captures how quickly the show can go from happy to downright nightmare fuel. im kinda sad that the theme song wasnt included in this though

I love the opening theme. Like so many DHMIS songs, it's both catchy and perfectly encapsulates the vibe of a simplistic, cheesy children's TV show song whilst also having those classic DHMIS lyrics that don't quite make sense when you think about them (e.g. "Look closely, you will see" - see what?). The new lyrics each episode are also a great touch. But my favourite aspect of this song is how it foreshadows the darker side of the show. "Every day we all hang out to find out what will talk about" links to how little agency the trio has in their lives, whilst the repeated insistence that "There's three of us, just three of us" hints at how this isn't actually the case. Plus the visuals are great!

I adore the jobs song for the way the whole episode acts as part of it, pretty much what you said, but also how well that works with this as a bridge from the youtube series to this one. Cus the jobs song is exactly what this would be if it was a yt vid, teacher shows up, sings a song, then a bit of the shit going crazy in the factory, then it goes back to normal, but they're able to stick a whole episode of a tv show in the middle while still having it feel cohesive

My favorite song has always been Brain Friends. I love the animation and when you watch the animation as the song plays by I always took it as your really able to see how innocent Yellow Guy is but when he's not in his mind how he gets off to doing things like digging up a dead body. I always thought this was showing how when a child isn't taught what's right and wrong, how they will most likely do something wrong without knowing it's wrong. Especially when you think of how all the lessons seem to be things kids might question like what really happens when you die and what is time. Or at least I remember thinking of that as a kid. And I do think all of the characters are innocent and just misled but I get that from yellow the most and the song just made me think of the concept even more.
This video made me appreciate don't hug me I'm scared even more, if it was possible. This made my day, honestly
