You should review something like Ben drowned or stairs or Nina the killer or the abandoned by Disney sequels. I would recommend more but for some reason nothing else is coming to my mind even though it should

Love it or hate it, Jeff the Killer is iconic. Removing it from a creepypasta site is like removing “never gonna give you up” from iTunes just because people use it to troll others

I honestly wish his creepypasta wasn’t so poorly written… especially with him burning his eye lids and carving a smile in his face for no actual reason.
Also the fact that his hair didn’t fully burn off, despite his ass being set ablaze, and his skin turning completely white, yet he doesn’t seem to be in pain from any bleach burns, was always really stupid to me.
Realistically speaking he would have lost all of his hair, along with his skin being severely charred.
Even though bleach isn’t flammable.. it can advance the combustion of other substances, such as the vodka… however that being said, the effects of his skin being bleached white, with a chalky texture, that would be overthrown by the severe burns that are amplified by the bleach and Vodka mixture, causing a lot more damage. The fact he only left the hospital with milk white skin and black hair is mind boggling bizarre.
(Unless there was a vague explanation like “Oh they had a plastic surgeon come in and reconstruct his body.” It doesn’t make a lick of sense… I know it’s meant to just spook teens on the internet but even as a kid that was the most confusing part of the pasta.)
Tldr: Iconic? yes. But not because it’s good.

I’m having an idea to write some basic scripts or concepts for connective short films / miniseries for a lot of creepypasta / folklore characters. Something that would have a lot more effort into writing than that bullshit Sony Slenderman thing. There’s a lot of ideas I have that could possibly make Jeff feel like more of a real character. Some of which have him being diagnosed from a younger age with a personality disorder that his parents don’t properly care for. However I don’t want it to be some cringe thing where “oh he’s just crazy edgy ohhh he’s a killer now” I want actual social buildup. I want real consequences of Jeff’s actions for him to obsess over, the bullies actually making sense, and the parents and other adults being competent. It’s difficult

People actually do not definitively know the origin of the Jeff the Killer face image to this day.
It was found quite recently actually, It was a photo of a Japanese woman that was bullied for being fat back in the early web, I don’t remember what video I watched to get that info but if you search for it you’ll find it. Edit: Stop pinging me about the authenticity of the image in question, If someone else has already said so you don't need to say something someone else has already said. I understand that it isn't Real!

I don't think a human sized Siren head is as scary as the normal massive Siren head. It's actually a master of camouflage and incredibly fast, so even if you manage to see it in the distance and start running it can bound up to you in a few seconds. It's absolutely terrifying because you could be looking directly at it and not know. *Genuinly.*

"The Showers" is a creepypasta that doesn't get enough attention. Wish more people talked about that one.
Yeah that one is pretty good as well. The author went back and made like a continuation but I didn't think think it was necessary or that good however the original story is indeed stellar

Man, the penpal one is really solid. I don't really know any good creepypasta. Mostly just the kind of stuff someone would make a roblox game about. So I'm really excited to see more of this series. I love these video essays and I'm sure the creators appreciate your diligent crediting. Massive congratulations on the 50k
For creepypasta recommendations there’s a few I’ll say:
1. The SCP Foundation - is a big internet community project with literal thousands of stories for practically anyone to find something they think is scary. Would say check out “when day breaks” “the scarlet king” scp-5000 “the flesh that hates” to name few that usually are brought up.
2. The showers - some count this as one of the best creepypastas
3. Paranoia
4. Emesis blue - a SFM movie on youtube
5. Darkwood - a slavic cosmic horror survival game
6. Pretty much any 411 case/“I work as a park ranger” stories
7. The story about the carnivorous reindeer in russia
8. “Right before my grandfather passed he told me to not fall asleep before dawn”
9. The morrowind creepypasta
10. Nes Godzilla - really atmospheric, with probably one of the best monsters
Glad you didn’t bring up sonic.exe, since people have been pretty butt hurt as of late about that character. Due to him still being talked about today, despite being a extremely basic monster and him being at fault for a bunch of cringy tropes.

i think you're thinking of "Psychosis" instead of Paranoia but i did look it up and there is one called Paranoia too lmbo so correct me if i'm wrong! just thought i'd say since Psychosis is my second favorite creepypasta of all time (Penpal being my favorite more recently i think)!!
Scp started off as a creepypasta, but then it expanded a lot. I personally disagree calling emesis blue a creepypasta tho

You've GOT to cover NES Godzilla next list. It's a video game based creepypasta, yes (and revolving around Kaiju no less), but it provides a plethora of visuals that are disturbingly well made. It suffers from a less than stellar or comprehensible ending, but it has a lot of merit throughout, and I think it deserves atleast a mention.
I'm glad you took your time covering all these Creepypastas and went into detail about what they were instead of just trying to cover as much as possible. Makes the content more memorable. Definitely the best Pasta Tier list so far.
Auyuwoki and sirenhead over Russian sleep experiment is crazy
I mean the sleep experiment one is just lame. Auyowki definitely is C tier at best while siren head would be like B tier at best
There's just something about the wild west era that added so much mystery to the internet
it really felt like spooky stories were able to spread around easier and the internet wasn't as centralized into a few sites like it is now
Now days when spooky stories are going to be spread around like the "every copy of mario is personalized" thing you get some guy going

Part of what makes horror so enjoyable is to just get lost in the sauce of the spooky and just to have fun with it pretending its real and not taking it so seriously
I agree. It seems like nowadays, anything horror on the internet just gets stale or suddenly becomes a fad for like a month.
Maybe it was because we were all younger and more naive back then but I feel any online horror just isn’t interesting anymore.

I just kinda stumbled upon you, but something that I REALLY suggest you look into is Marble Hornets. It uses the idea of Slenderman and turns it into something that's actually horrifying.
On another note, I'm gonna go look into the rest of your channel bc I really liked this video
Siren head being first is just a breath of fresh air as siren head is one of the best Creepypastas I’ve ever heard, the multiple stories made online and said on CZcams and on other websites which almost made me think it’s real as some of them sound SO realistic. The siren head trend started to gain popularity in December 29th 2019 and died in around June 5th 2021 which is almost around 1 and a half years (Most trends last 1 month)
I'm sure this has been said but if you do a part two you should do some lost episode and/or video game creepypastas like red mist and sonic.exe. They should help fill those lower spots on the list haha. Loved the video!
Enjoyed watching this video, i rad the penpal story first and I started tearing up. Not necessarily cause I was so scared (even though it was terrifying) I was devastated each chapter. Had just wish you’d gone over the chapter with Veronica, that chapter and the one with boxes affected me the more I think.

If not man I really do appreciate your videos and also love the story about the old man and the old woman. The title of your video was the the darkest movie you've ever seen and honestly when I heard the video that you did I immediately subscribed because it's really good if you can have another story exactly just like that or somehow just like it will be really cool for me to listen to
I stopped at like the 47 minute mark to listen to the whole story of penpal. And wow, one hell of a creepypasta!

When you do a part 2, there's a a few I can recommend.
Godzilla NES is a really good one
The Abandoned By Mickey series (and yes it is a series) is pretty good
Barrosca is a very very good one
And there's a few of the super popular ones, like Ben Drowned, Smile Dog, Sonic EXE, etc

Despite how cliche it is slenderman is the king of creepypasta for a reason and definitely deserves the highest tier. The photos and marble hornets are absolutely phenomenal.
Slender Man below siren head feels criminal. if you want probably the best adaptation of Slender Man, while not text nor exactly Slender Man, Marble Hornets will always be the go-to. Definitely shaped a lot of the most known mythos around him through the Operator.
It isn’t below though it’s in the same tier. Granted even that is ludicrous and slenderman absolutely deserves the highest tier for the photos and marble hornets
If you do a part two you've gotta include The Rake. One of the most OG creepypasta creatures i can remember

An interesting thing to consider about slenderman, not only is the story and merchandise, but in actually the cult following it spawned , leading to the attempted murder of a girl who was stabbed by two girls who genuinely believed he was real, so in my opinion he should have been S teir
Will you be making a part 2? I grew up on creepy pasta but only one I really disagree with is slender man. I was very invested in slender man and marble hornets alone puts it in S tier. If you do make a part 2 include other classics like eyeless Jack, ticci Tobey, laughing Jack, Ted the caver, Ben drowned, Sonic.exe, smiley dog, etc. I

I remember really liking creepypastas a few years ago, but one of the only names/stories I can recall is Ben Drowned. It would be great if you could cover him in the next part.

I’ve heard of a rumor that Herobrine was in earlier versions of the legacy console editions. He would look at you from a distance, and then disappear without a trace. This was a coded easter egg in the game, but removed in an update for some reason. The easter egg was removed before the Herobrine skin was added. I do not know if this is true; you may ask where I got the source from as well.
I'm 99% sure that Herobrine was never in the game, but to play along with the rumors mojang would attempt to remove him with each major update.
Once I came back to my minecraft home only to find the door blocked from the inside with a block of gravel. Must of been trolled my and enderman, but I sure felt uneasy for a minute.
Idk how people still believe this but Herobrine was NEVER in the game, in any version, outside of mods
Closest thing there ever was to Herobrine in the game were the two Steve mobs "Mob" and "Monster"

I'd love to see your thoughts on Sonic.EXE and it's official sequel Round2, I think that putting aside the grammatical issues they're better then most people give them credit for. The original and it's sequel when taken as one unit are more of a Cthulhu type story then the generic "evil character gonna hunt you down" type of story that most people interpret it as.

I did a paper on the Russian sleep experiment in my freshman year of high school was really fun.
Not really a creepypasta, but you should watch the CZcams series Marble Hornets! It's a pretty long series based around Slenderman (but he's actually called The Operator) and the series actually inspired most things around Slenderman and his history!

Learning that Jeff the Killer's story was taken down from the wiki sends me back. The mods there were what Reddit mods are now. Rude and nasty individuals. I posted my own story, and had it reviewed by a friend at the time who was a writer, and my submission was removed. The staff made fun of my work when I asked why it was taken down. I'll never forget it because it screwed up my motivation to write for years, to where I'm still dealing with issues with posting public stories. Fortunately there's Archive of Our Own, but my anxiety still screws with me.
Funny how the origin of the jeff the killer image is more interesting than the actual story

For Slenderman the best story is the game Slender: The Arrival. There’s a deeper story to it without making Slenderman godlike or this super villain that’s been unstoppable for centuries. Just a creepy entity. Highly recommend it

I enjoyed watching this video but I feel certain parts like Jeff the killer and penpal dragged on too long and could have saved your analysis for their own separate video. I feel like they could have been shortened to squeeze in a few more iconic creepypastas like Ben Drowned, Sonic Exe, and The Smiling Dog.
For a good Slenderman story I highly recommend Morley Grove. It's by Remy Abode, the guy that made Gemini Home Entertainment.

Definitely check out Marble Hornets. I'd say thats the not only the most impactful series for his mythos but also probably the sole reason he was skyrocketed into mainstream popularity. Without it, the game would never exist

I think a crypid in minecraft would be cool. Just something that shows up in an update unannounced and is super rare. It would get people to debate if it is even real.

I feel like the version of Slenderman you ranked is placed pretty fairly. But I personally would rank him in S tier. To me, the best version of Slenderman is the one seen in Marble Hornets. He is sort of different from the normal slenderman, but the concept is still the same
