- VMP Supercharged Mustang GT Review. I get to drive an 800 WHP VMP Gen 3 supercharged 2017 Mustang GT. This thing is a monster! VMP performance has gone and made an EPIC Supercharger kit for the S550 Mustang GT. The only problem is, is that I now need one for my Mustang!

I also have a 2017 Mustang GT and bought the 2.65 L vmp TVS supercharger kit. Twin 67 mm throttle body ID 1050x, injectors dual fan triple pass intercooler, 120 mm pmas cai I also got the Corsa longtube headers double helix mid pipe and Corsa sport axle backs. With a 92mm pulley that they said was making 11lbs boost. I also got the oil pump gear and CS installed. JLT oil catch can. Getting ready to get the chicken and waffles package from Beefcake racing as well. Your car is as close to my car as I have saw on CZcams. What I love about this kit is your car still looks 100% stock. I get Kia stingers, corvettes, Chargers and evening mustangs trying to race me. My rear deck lid panel doesn’t have the GT on it , I replaced it with a punisher skull. So the only thing giving me away is the 5.0 on the fenders and even then they think I’m a stock GT! (Thus the Kia stingers trying me lol) I haven’t dynoed my car yet but my son has a procharged 2018 that was dynoed at 650rwhp and he has said that my car is faster! Have you surprised any non knowing Mustang haters yet?
What supporting mods should I get to be on the safe side and not over heat
Jets Set 5.0 Look in to the dual fan triple pass intercooler a or a Killer Chiller set up.

Dynojet results 735rwhp / 567ft lbs trq with the set up I had mention. I am about to add some other things since my last post. Dual pump return style fuel system, DSS 2000 hp axles, some Mickey Thompson et street drag radial and smaller pulley with e85 new tune about to get put in

Hey man , I’m a new Subscriber . Quick question I heard y’all say how safe the car handles . Are y’all driving with the car on traction control or off ????
Keegan turned the traction control off as soon as I started the car. I thought “well thats a trusting move”. Car was fine man. The gears in a non performance pack GT are quite long so it wasn’t bad at all.
@@Carguments ok , I’m purchasing one for my Bday in April . Just asking questions and learning man . So with the performance pack or with your car do you typically leave the traction control off ??

10k haha 8k for blower 2k for exhaust another 1-1500 for tunes then you add in triple pump another 2k clutch another 1k half shafts another 1k driveshaft another 800 injectors from 700-1800 depending on size and maker throttle body another 800 try like 17k and if you blow transmission if it is a mt82 another 4500 for a t56 magnum and this is before labor cost
@@davidhamilton9902 thankfully on a street car you can get away with just buyin the full supercharger kit plug pump gears and sprocket, as long as you dont launch the car constantly and bang gears you can get away with it

Sound tube was added. Basically a hose that runs from the intake to the cabin so you can enjoy the wine the supercharger is making.

How can he be running 100 octane with only boost a pump? And theres no way its 800whp without a return fuel system
He said close to 800 which could 770 I would consider that close to 800. Also it doesn't take any more fueling to run 100 octane vs 93 it isn't like e85. He's got adequate fueling for his setup.

It was crazy hot our so Theres that. But I was surprised too. It did break loose a couple times.
Great video! I also have a 17 GT and I have pretty much decided to go VMP as well.
Just like you I am planning to go with the smaller TVS 2300 hoping to not hurt reliability too bad but this vid is definitely good news about the owners reliability.
He didn’t mention it but do you know if he swapped his oil pump gears?

Yeah performance pack sucks if you don’t wanna shift your life away. Bottom end is fun asf tho. But yeah I don’t believe you on that mpg though. I had a twin turbo v6 s550 making 500 whp that got like 13 mpg
I have the same setup with a ported lower and 163 throttle body and I get around 25 on the highway
It depends on the build you wanna do. If you wanna do an na build that is a corner carver the pp is perfect. Once you do cams and cobra jet and pull like a train to 8k all the sudden those gears arent too short anymore theyre perfect lol. If you plan to go 800 rwhp 331 gears are obviously better.
His MPG is accurate. I have had a VMP gen2r on my car for a year now. On road trips it easily gets 23 / 24 MPG. My car makes 611 RWHP.
Of course going into boost will use more though.
