- In this video I take a first look at the brand new FMS fcx24 1/24 RTR crawler! This is a new take on the fcx24 platform, going more the route of a rock racer. Big tires, oil filled shocks, and the new tubular chassis are some of the new features that differentiate this from its siblings!

This is getting a lot of hate but it's kinda cool to see fms make a performance model
Right , they all don't have to be crawlers
Although I do think they missed an opportunity by not making this longer wheelbase and 4ws. It's could be really special after customization. I see the potential and people have to be honest, we toss all the stock stuff on all of these models anyways😂 worst thing I see is a bunch of Phillips hardware.
wife demanded this addition to our growing collection.......she calls it her minion! crazy and jets around in hyper mode.......showed her your video of it and she had to have it.
Glad you spent some time with us to make a video. Yes with some mods it would be a great crawler ✌🏽
The wheels are surely a parts bin special, but with just a few mods it's now the most capable mini crawler I own. I think the idea is you can run 3s and do jumps and what not in high gear
Man I love the FCX24 platform. I think putting rear steer on this would be amazing!

The body and cage at first glance totally reminds me of the losi mini and micro rock crawlers! It does look a bit generic but HEY everyone makes it their own anyways. The fms 1/24 has a great proven chassis and driveline and they put out amazing scale bodies. I hope they put out another 15 bodies on it or classic 40s thru 80s offroad vehicles. People don’t think ahead sometimes of how convenient it is to have many of their RCs sharing parts. Like legos as a kid mix and match, build, tear down, build another thing. Kudos to them.
Wider offset wheels, better tires, better shocks, longer links, brass, lower it and ditch the front bumper and it could be a nice rig.

I do believe the fcx24 power wagon ran your indoor course better this was disappointing slow. Then you put it into second gear and wow it just opened up a new segment in 24th scale imo. The fact that slow it couldn't get out of its own way but seemed to just jump over the obstacles at speed. You just created a new test "bashing'. Technical crawling is fun but all the comps in my area are dominated by older gentleman. With this just sending it will speak to the younger drivers and us old guys too! A hundred dollars in well spent upgrades would make this guy insane fun imo

I love the idea! The injora pro motor or speed motor would be perfect for this! They would give it enough speed to bounce over obstacles and fly down trails
I like it , cut a couple coils off the springs , some grippy tires and a little weight
A 180 motor, McCue arms, and some negative offset wheels seems like it could be a pretty fun speed build.
Looks like it will be a blast with the speed motor! I think with some tweaking for a v2 release it could be a well used chassis. Axial definitely did a little better with the Capra and meus with the ripper. Good for a v1, excited for a v2!
Pretty sure I'm ordering one in the next 15 minutes! Back in the day, I always thought the Baja type of racing was what I'd do if I got into racing....
I bought one of those fcx24’s and modded it all out (fun) I’ve been eyeing that new 4runner, but now I’ll have to buy this one for sure. The price is right on point too. Dang it!

Links and driveshafts need to be 5-8mm longer to give longer wheelbase since ride height is so high that would also give shocks the angle they need
Oil filled shocks are for large and heavy vehicles. Let's keep them off 24 scale. There is no passenger and it's not hard to adjust friction shocks to perform.
They look so bouncy if they’re not dampened though.
Luckily, they make both so we can each have our way!
I believe they aimed for a King of the Hammers style rig. It looks like something you would see at that event,once you push it hard. Yes an Axle rig.😂
Damn didnt knownit came oil filled i was go8ng to but power wagon lol but i jave a few of that body, harvest, panda one, and was going for furitec but being this mini oil filled as well its a tuff choice but the brushless motor might take it lenur brushed correct?
It would be nice if FMS would build a universal chassis where you can incorporate these new bodies to one chassis similarly to ScX24
I agree, it's not a crawler, my grandson would like it(speed). Good for bouncing around a trial. I like the buggy look thought. FMS is trying to please. Lower the price that will please every one. 😜
Honestly bei being that you have alot of 124 and 118 what's your top 3 maybe 5 please I wana get your number one lol I'm looking at lemur and I have a few others but I want my final good good one. Furitek has my eyes rn but not sure if u think any are better, this clearance seems very well. I love the xc1 one if it's kind and I love the deadbolt but I dunno what next also the harvest great but what's you number 1 thru 3 honestly even if it a personal preference
You did say you were going over the 70mm injoras on Wednesday any idea when that video is coming? Would like to also see the fury wagon upgrade video

@@CapeCrawlers kewl good to know my fcx24 power wagon ended up getting a trx4m meus chassis and transmission couldn't deal with the noise
I like the axles that are on these things, but I think these things would be better with straight axles
It would be nice to keep the cog down that’s for sure
I think a rock racer is more my style.
Only thing is those angles are less in motion

Yep! All of the fcx parts should bolt right up
It needs shorter springs , it's sitting too high ,that thing is more a rock racer kinda like the bomber than a pure crawler

I have been liking all the newer fms stuff. This one doesn't appeal to me. The upcoming fcx10 blazer definitely does appeal to me. I better start saving. I almost feel like bragging to my family...see I don't buy everyone that comes out!😅

@CapeCrawlers harley designs did a video called sneak peek at fcx10 about 3 days ago. He's at a show and shows it pretty well. Looks alot like a trx4.
