Admittedly, I'm not a crawler fan but the intro humor was entertaining enough for me to watch it through. Kudos for addressing the elephant in the room about sell out product endorsements. I had another good laugh when you put Yoshi in the cab 😂😂. Adding a driver is the cherry on top to any build! Another entertaining video. Bravo!

Nothing wrong being a fan boy of a company that puts out quality products. It's nice to buy something and have fun with it for a while before you start modifying it. I see no hand in this video lol

I'm so glad you highlighted the tilting issue. My 1/12 FMS Defender 2 tilts slightly to the right as well. I wonder if many of the FMS vehicles have this problem as well.

These are getting better than the SCX24 now. That looks great, and goes just as well. Ive always loved the Unimog, from the real thing, to the Tamiya body version. This is great. ❤️
I wouldn't go that far. The SCX line has a ton of aftermarket support. FMS has some, but not nearly as much as the SCX.

I think this would be an excellent platform if someone wanted to build a scale crawler. You could go crazy with this thing with details. Steel grey paint for the tanks and stuff on the sides, rust on the fenders, replace the plastic box sides with real wood, paint the hinges silver and rusty.
Spintires come to life. Or Snow Runner for the youngins 😂
SBG Rocks. Matt is an awesome dude to watch and his scale work is amazing. 3 more wheel wrenches 😂 I really think a guess as to how many you have would be good fun
This another excellent review. It's a great looking truck and it performed very well. It went nose down in the water and survived very well. I think, as you mentioned, it would be a great trail tuck. It's easy to tote around and you could carry several batteries very easily. I am sure the scale builders and modelers will have a blast with this. Great driver.

saw a real unimog and didn’t realise how huge they are . that’s all i really have to say 😂👍
I still prefer to set the turning indicators on the 3 way toggle switch. It's like a real car, if I want to use my blinkers, I will flick them on and off the good old fashioned manual way... Only takes an ESC switch and an open channel with a 3 way switch (usually channel 3 or 4). But I agree with ya, the indicators are usually automatic and irritating.
Very excited for the 1/24 unimog. Didn't get the bigger versions quite yet, because aftermarket part availability needs time to grow. But the 1/24 platform has oodles of options these days, so this is ready to rock and upgrade straight out of the box, so that is a huge win for me!!

That’s incredible I wander the my fcx24 blazer could do the same some people say it’s water proof but I’ve yet to see a video where someone just opens it up out of the box with the intent to prove it’s water proof

I can't find any info on the power system other than "brushless". I'm guessing at least 6s. Something similar to what's in the MT8 I'm guessing. I'd love if they went insane and put an overpowered 8s system in it to make it even more realistic.

Question what are your thoughts on a two speed trans in general do you think they're necessary I have a two speed RC and I just leave it in high edit I also like all the smaller cheaper RCs you've shown even bought a couple
On this it’s works great. 1st gear is a great crawling gear, and second it’s perfect for trails
I bought the FMS K5 Blazer BECAUSE of the 2 speed trans. I was going to pick up a Traxxas TRX4M but the local hobby shop sold out by the time I got back the next day with money! I upgraded from the 130 brushed motor to a 180 brushed and it's way fast so the 2 speed trans makes it even more useful because it would be impossible to crawl in high gear now.
thanks for your news but I think what FMS requires to do is to make a lexan body. I have already 3 smashers, 2 lemurs, 1 power wagon, and 1 K5, but the high roller has already got a scratch on its body. It upsets me a lot.

i bought a rochobby mogrich before i knew fms had an actual unimog; it doesn't have portals, 2speed, is mint ugly green, isn't licensed with a badge, and might not even have oil shocks,,, obviously i should return it right???? i see zero reason to not and get an actuall 421

Can someone please confirm if this is just a power wagon with a different body? Been looking all over online and cant seem to find any differences
Based on the looks, it has the electronics moved up higher and forward being mostly under the hood now vs in the center for the K5 Blazer I have.
Add some froats to keep most of it out of the water and add an outboard motor. Then it'll be like the old top gear. 🥴
