This is the Radiohead of solo musicians. Because of his evolution. Each album is different from the one that came before it. He keeps evolving and innovating without losing his sparkle/his touch. It's extremely rare may I add.
Not everyone can understand and experience the deepness it holds that's why many masterpieces are not that popular cuz it's way more than a masterpiece
Seems like a lot of the people in the comments are confused about the name "The Tallest Man on Earth". Kristian Matsson is The Tallest Man on Earth, him alone, it's his stage name. Everyone else in this video is a group called yMusic.
So there's longing in the shoulders now There was a wildness in that time Can't we now say Oh sweet were the hours But hours to find There was no way to live in simple dreams There was no straightness to our line Gravel in hand Darling, we're moving the mountains around This is the fire of leaving pains When the love is gone, but the need remains Into the shivering cold of day When the house is gone, but the street remain Oh I guess it's true I guess these rivers never knew And so finally the night time comes There is no lot to cast a blame No need to hide No fear who I'd meet In some grocery lane This is the fire of leaving pains When the love is gone, but the need remains Into the shivering cold of day When the house is gone, but the street remain Oh I guess it's true I guess these rivers never knew And I'll sing of seasons til you turn me off I see the way of letting go They'll be the same And whatever changes These changes I know This is the fire of leaving pains When we're not that strong and the need remains Into the shivering lights of day When the house is gone, but the fields remain Oh I guess it's true I guess these rivers never knew
Beautiful song!! I like the Trout/Salomon on the guitar strap!! He´s a passionate fly fisher and his music really tells a lot to us other fly fishermen!!
All your work is so eloquent and moving, its the type of music that reaches for the soul. I appreciate that. Thank you for all the beautiful work you bring to the world.
Haunting and lovely, thank you for the music. I’m old as loam and had never heard you before, then you popped up at random, and now you have another fan. Best wishes, good luck.
Ice and Steam Productions when Dark Bird came out, I got to see him play for the third time at the Wiltern in LA, got to meet him and share a cig in the smoking section, he said as much about the new configuration. 'I know they're here to see ME but it feels so great knowing I'm not alone up there'. I'm assuming his divorce from Idiot Wind was also a factor contributing to the loneliness, which makes listening to their duets like Working Titles really sad, though still beautiful
Off topic but: why do all flautists seem to look the like the exact same person to me. black curly long hair. haha. do they have a hair code or something?
SoteriosXI If at any point I implied correlation between myself and someone I've never met or had an impact on, then I offer the sincerest of apologies. TMOE, I feel, is fantastic; I also feel that folk music is not fantastic. I also feel that TMOE is not folk in any standard definition of the word
Craig Sherratt I definitely feel tmoe is a singer/songwriter more than a folk artist, when I think folk I think more of bluegrass which is cursed music and definitely not tmoe, I still love a lot of "folk" music tho
"The love is gone, but the need remains"
this is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard
Thomas Saunders I know, right? : )

I can't get enough of this!! I love the studio version but this is practically flawless...
To visualize the instrumentation brings tears to my eyes😫💜
It sort of pains me that this doesn't have more views... probably one of the most beautiful things I've heard in my life.
It's my absolute favorite TMOE song and a yMusic only enhance it...
Beautiful song
Not everyone can understand and experience the deepness it holds that's why many masterpieces are not that popular cuz it's way more than a masterpiece
It got there eventually! Still gorgeous
One of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard..

This is the fire of leaving pains
When the love is gone, but the need remains
Into the shivering cold of day
When the house is gone, but the street remain
Oh I guess it's true
I guess these rivers never knew
And so finally the night time comes
There is no lot to cast a blame
No need to hide
No fear who I'd meet
In some grocery lane
This is the fire of leaving pains
When the love is gone, but the need remains
Into the shivering cold of day
When the house is gone, but the street remain
Oh I guess it's true
I guess these rivers never knew
And I'll sing of seasons til you turn me off
I see the way of letting go
They'll be the same
And whatever changes
These changes I know
This is the fire of leaving pains
When we're not that strong and the need remains
Into the shivering lights of day
When the house is gone, but the fields remain
Oh I guess it's true
I guess these rivers never knew
poetry.
Thank you
Obrigada!!!🥰

Beautiful song!! I like the Trout/Salomon on the guitar strap!! He´s a passionate fly fisher and his music really tells a lot to us other fly fishermen!!

Ah the sweet sound of the trumpet!
He seems so much happier playing with a band and being able to share the performance with others like incredibly happier

The thing about ttmoe is that all he needs is a guitar and his voice anything more starts to pull it down,
Well the trumpet was kinda nice actually
Beautiful, vintage TMOE
you know he JUST released this song a month ago right?
Alex Kessler right... That's why I said "vintage TMOE", cuz it's more like his old stuff
No fear who I'll meet in some grocery lane... Ha. Living through 2020 covid 19 says different.
Pretty damn amazing!

Wowowowowowow I love what he's doing :)

This was HARD to search thru youtube recomendations :/
What movie/show is this in?have heard it somewhere but can’t think of where
Still in love with you
What is this song from? Upcoming album?
Yes
he released it as a single, don't know if there's another LP coming already after Dark Bird Is Home?
I think it's a single, as Time Of The Blue...
it's not on Dark Bird is Home, so i have no idea, must just be a single
10.
and violinists
Off topic but: why do all flautists seem to look the like the exact same person to me. black curly long hair. haha. do they have a hair code or something?
Any idea what guitar he's playing?
David Paddock it's actually a vintage fender musicmaster, I think fender tweeted about the video when it was released but I can't find it
LIL DICKY ON THE VIOLIN THO
Clean shaven Jon Snow on the cello?
where is Nadia?!?!?
Lmao the group is called "The Tallest Man on Earth"
Haha hilarious /s And it's just him that's called The Tallest Man on Earth
I like him but he doesn't look all that tall to me ;)
Folk is generally terrible music. The Tallest Man on Earth does not deserve to be tarred with such a brush
What a ridiculous assumption
Heston Blumenthal Thank you for educating me about the fact that apparently, subjective topics such as musical taste are in fact objective
Maybe what you like and don't like doesn't correlate with what other people deserve and don't deserve.
SoteriosXI If at any point I implied correlation between myself and someone I've never met or had an impact on, then I offer the sincerest of apologies.
