Omg! The premenstrual rage thing is so me! After my second baby I was angry most of the time and finally a year postpartum I had my period back and had such an emotional relief. I felt it was odd. Glad to hear someone else had this same situation.

I completely understand your reaction to movies with kids and violence. I have become extremely sensitive regarding stories about children and especially when there is any kind of violence. I was never good with gore and horror, I actually tend to faint when it gets too extreme (and it's happened not once, but twice while watching a rather harmless movie in the theater...), though I had a phase during adolescence when I kind of enjoyed creepy stuff. Nowadays I really don't feel like it. And yeah, stories about children make me feel very uncomfortable. If it's even real news where a child has been harmed it will make me tear up in a second.😢

Omg my hair! I used to have easy hair - straight up and down, didn’t need any special treatment. Now it has become so unruly and brittle, and obviously I don’t have time to work it so it’s just a mess 9/10 😅

Totally relate to my time being more optimized now that I have a baby. Never knew I could accomplish so much in 40-50 minute stretches of time during naps lol.

The thing about gore, or scary about children, also happen to father. After my son born, any news about something bad about children, or in movies and Tv show, I automatically think about my own kid. It's very strange.

I'm child-free but I watch mom content sometimes as part of being a feminist and trying my best to not become detached from other women's issues and perspectives. That said, growing up I noticed that "mom brain" is very much a thing because it would make adult women around me act/ think unreasonable, overly emotional, overly protective, have no sense of humor or go straight up hysterical. It was always exhausting to deal with not just for me but for other adults around them and I became scared of these changes. I don't want to become... that and become even more of a slave to my instincts/ hormones. The concept alone makes me shake.

About mom brain, there are some studies that shows a part of our brain shrink doing pregnancy, and it can take up to two years before it gets back to it's normal size

I also experience pre-menstrual rage, except mine can last until day 2 of my period. Grateful you made this video. New mom this year and can relate to a lot of what you said. Thank you

My hair did that too. I eventually chopped it into a bob over the summer to get curl back

My curly hair is coming in straight now too. Totally a bummer. I just had my 2nd baby 4 months ago but this didn't happen the first time. Thankfully I have a short bob so it will grow out faster but at my last hair appt my stylist was like "um the top is growing in super straight, in case you're wondering why it might look different" siiiigh. I'm also in the thick of it with adjusting to 2 kids and trying to potty train my first. The rage is real and my marriage is suffering but I know we will get through it OOOOOF

My hair texture changed too :/ still trying to figure out what products works and don’t. It’s a whole process again to try and get to know my hair

My hair didn’t change during pregnancy but I did change my moms hair. She’s got curly hair and when she was pregnant with me and nursing me she had straight hair. Then it went back to it’s normal curly self again. It’s so crazy

Hair structure - that's why many women cut hair after pregnancy, me included :) also short hair was easier to maintain. I had to cut my hair a lot, because I didn't have the time for maintenance ( I couldn't even take a shower without my kid screaming, he had to watch me pooping, I would bring a stroller to the bathroom so he could see me XD). And my son wanted to be held, or at least touch me, at all times, he was grabbing everything like crazy, so no such things as curler would be safe around him. That was a really weird experience, lasting around 2 years.
He's been diagnosed autistic around that age, so it's not so common to have such an active and demanding baby. But at least he was always quite healthy

Mom brain is legit. I watched a video of a dr explaining during pregnancy the grey matter of your brain shrinks. It happens to teens during puberty as well and will grow back. But that’s why moms are forgetful, their brain is smaller 😂😂 i can’t remember how long he said it takes to grow back but it was somewhere between 6month-2 years I cannot remember for the life of me. #mombrain

Oh! Me, too when it comes to things about kids and scary stuff. I also get upset about nasty comedy, thinking they are insulting us by sinking to substituting shock value/nastiness for something we should enjoy but actually ponder...and I always think that the comedian should do work that their families could be proud of.

So my hair texture didn't change but my hair basically stopped growing when I was pregnant. It grew maybe an inch in about 9 months for both of my pregnancies and that's super weird for me. But it was all my hair, like leg hair, arm pit hair, etc I barely had to shave at all.

If youre experiencing pre-menstrual rage it may be worthwhile to look into PMDD. Not a doctor or anything, but i have diagnosed PMDD that started after having kids.

Yep! My curly hair started growing straight. I wasn’t sure if it was bc I had covid or if it was from pregnancy 🤷‍♀️ Sad bc I liked my curly hair

PMS is real, for many. I ligit get a short fuse and every other month or so I'm like, "WHYISEVERYTHINGSETTINGMEOFF--Oh wait... I'm getting my period soon, aren't I? Feh! Bring me chocolate and leave me to read!"
With my third baby, I got the hair thinning.. so now I have funny short spikeys as it grows in again. 😂 So annoying.
I have HG so nausea is worse with each pregnancy.. last time, the medication barely helped.
I homeschool and have an introverted toddler, so I don't currently have much time for my own hobbies.. Sadly, that means I spend too much time on my phone.
    But they are amazing.
Oh, and with every pregnancy, my one armpit gets stinkier. Thanks, hormones. 😢😂

I can recommend trying the carnivore diet for better health long term! Just try it for 1-3 months and see how you like it and what benefits it gives you. 🙂

My hair prior to pregnancy was a loose curl. It was similar to your texture when you first started on CZcams. When i got pregnant, the top half of my head went straight, and the bittom half got more curly... half of my head is curly and the other half refuses to hold a curl. 😭😭😭

    • @Shawnielee1990

And THEN there is the added bonus of all your hair falling out post partum... I had giant bald spots for MONTHS. And when that hair finally grew back it was COMPLETELY different than the hair that was already on my head. It grew back very brittle and dry. So I have 3 different textures on my head now, and I have no idea what to do about it! It's tempting to shave it all off!
