    It's time for the Sea Trial! Today we actually cast the lines and head to sea to turn up the juice and see what shakes loose! Will we make it back in one piece? Do we get gobbled up by a big sea monster? Or, will anything reveal itself as a big no-go issue for moving ahead with the boat?
    The boat we are looking at is a 2018 Fountaine Pajot Saona 47 Owner's version. Nice boat. Follow along to see if it makes the cut and where we go from here. Thanks for watching!!

    Wow Franny and Heidi taking the wheel, learning how to sail! Got to miss those crab traps. Really impressive that you are getting into the sailing lifestyle.

      I get it. It does take some time getting to learn the terminology, and I am far from knowing all of it.

    Well you are out sailing. Yahoo! You know I’m a big Heidi and Franny fan but that was to much drama for a test sail. That’s a massive boat and you guys will need to go slow and build up your sailing skills. I don’t want to be negative at all but you might consider sailing lessons on a smaller boat. Everyone oversteers when they are starting and that just takes time. You need to feel confident and you have a ways to go. This is going to take awhile. Also Franny needs to wear her pearls. Love the pearls. Best wishes.

    Great memories for me; my dad had a sailboat and we had our share of adventures. Have you considered joining the US Power Squadron? They have great courses and certifications. My dad went up to Navigator level; he could sail using the stars at night for orientation.

    Why do I think that this is a VERY expensive test drive? :)

    Ur both definately going to need sailing lessons, I seriously hope thats the plan. So much to learn, but make sure u get teacher that will actually teach and not just helm, maybe start with theory and all the sailing jargon. Goodluck, shes a magnificent boat, congratulations. ⛵🤪🤯🏳️‍🌈

    Sorry, but your videos reaffirm that I do not want a boat! So much to give trouble! Appears to be constant headaches/repair! Understand the saying: "the happiest day is when you buy the boat;the day you sell it"! Glad you are happy! That's important! PS People say the same about me as I own a few Rolls Royces (constant issues/repairs)!

      I went through the whole boat life experience and made my escape. I tried to tell these ladies not to make the mistake, but they refused. They'll get the clues, but continue for several years. One bad hurricane will make them think. Another $10,000 in repairs and several more hurricanes should have them convinced to run. 😊
      And they'll think about the $25,000 given away for dockage!!! 😳

    We are Porsche people too. If you think they are expensive, wait until you own a boat. We too went down that road. We ended up loosing a lot of money, and practically gave the boat away. I did all the work myself, and it still was a money pit. Sales tax, property tax, slip fees, haul out and yard fees, insurance, it goes on and on. It’s not the cost of the boat, it’s the cost of owning the boat. Try it for a while. If you have the funds and don’t care about loosing money, go for it. Yea, we had some fun, but we have just as much fun fishing in our kayaks, without all of the costs of owning a yacht.

    Why are you posting year old videos?

    • @HeidiandFranny
      @HeidiandFranny  Před 11 měsíci +4

      Because we were so busy, we did not have time to edit them, and we are trying to get you caught up with us, so you know what is going on. Don't worry. Our timline will come together, and they will not be as far disconnected. It's actually not a year old either.

    You lost me as soon as the music montage started. Only things worse than a music montage is background music and long, loud intros. Your intro needs to be no more than 2 seconds long, just a quick pop up of your logo, we don't need anything more, we don't need to see your names, we don't need to see your cats names and no one cares who donated to you. The intro was 10 seconds long and IMO thats waaaaaaaay to long. So now everytime we click on one of your videos, we get to hear that god-awful background music for 10 seconds while you show us your cats... at the start... of every single video you make. And I also hear a lot of dialog that sounds like its being read. Never ever do that. Just talk to us, don't make out a script to read, make an outline of what you want to get across to the viewer and just 'wing it'. I've been following you two for a long time, as I own several Porsches, but I don't have the time or patience for music montages or long intro's. The best thing about CZcams is that its NOT television its just people uploading home-movie type videos, real people. If you find yourself writing out an intro statement for your video, then you're doing it wrong. In my humble opinion. I like sailing videos and am looking forward to your new sailing videos, but I can't watch em if they're anything like the last few uploads. Everyone repeat after me... "music montages suck".

      Just watch CZcams at twice speed, you will be a lot happier. Thanks for the feedback. We will recognize supporters, so that won't change. I believe Franny and I both should say our names, since we usually put in 70 to 100 hours on each of our videos right now. Your more than welcome to skip the intros. A lot is recap anyhow.
