Sea fishing at Littlehampton - A good day!

- Went sea fishing at Littlehampton and fished the mouth of the river Arun on an incoming tide as the other beaches were unfishable because of weed.
Went bait pumping for blow lug on the low tide and then fished for three hours before the weed started coming back up the river. Managed to catch a bass and an eel which made my day. Weather was baking hot and with the sun blazing down.
good old west beach aka the nudist beach where peeps strip in the dunes, I miss my old hometown of Littlehampton so many memories of it growing up
Hi thanks for watching and commenting and glad I brought back a few memories. Last five weeks been really frustrating with wind, weed, rain and no fish but got to keep at it so no vids but this weekend going Sunday and hopeful as the ever optimistic fisherman always are which makes us keep going😂 although my secret weapon this weekend is a boat. I have fond memories of fishing at Littlehampton with my uncle who introduced me to fishing sadly long gone from this life. Take care Paul 👍🐠🐠😃

Thanks Ian for watching and commenting and yep very rare these days, bloody hot day. Have been down in Deal for the week with wife and my daughter who is back from Dubai for a couple of weeks which is great as have not seen her for over a year and a half. Lovely vid Paul , really enjoyed that . I remember my Nan and Grandad taking me to Littlehampton as a youngster and seeing all the fishermen lining the shore, my Grandad was a keen fisherman too , great memories, 👍 . Hi fellow thanks for the kind words and glad I brought back happy memories makes me feel I have achieved something positive in difficult times. Old fisherman never die as they live on in our thoughts and include my uncle in this miss the chap every day. Hi Carl you really have to get the tide right there and as you say ruddy fierce pull through. Did not have much choice as all round that area was weed and more weed. If not weather then weed. Thank you and my wife funnily enough was talking about be careful around the Hamptons and have been given a preparation to rub on by the local dog warden that she swears by😂 I think it’s going to be baking hot but who knows what we might catch. Completely knackered when I got home yesterday as 3.30am start and same on Sunday 🤞🤞🤞👍👍cheers Paul
Hi Paul , great vid , I used to live just along the road to the east of the river at the bend of sea lane , best fishing there for bass is near the boat mooring pontoons as huge schools of bass hang about there along with some very large mullet . keep up the good work .

Hi paul enjoyed that mate. It brought bk a few memories myself of light fishing in the marina behind grimsby docks. Havn't done if for donkys since we was all kids. I think i mite invest in a little rod n reel and give it s go for somthing different. Good luck for sunday hope you got your sea legs lol. All the best from GY.
Made me feel like a kid again like you. Surprisingly exciting and have not caught an eel in over 15 years loved it. Baking hot down here at allotment today and boat tomorrow stay safe cheers Paul

I'm sure it was a slip, but it's the Arun, not Adur, there at Littlehampton.
Bobby you are bang on I get the two mixed up and the clue I need to remember is Arundel, hence the river Arun 😂 the Adur is out my neck of the woods 👍🎣🎣 cheers Paul
Can I just check, do you need a licence to fish in Littlehampton?
No you do not need a license to fish in the sea or tidal estuary unless you were specifically targeting sea trout. 👍
Nice video 👍🏼 I live local to that river , and been fishing there most the time I’ve been fishing , caught so many eels , bass , smelt , flounder decent river to be honest, I have subscribed aswell 🎣happy fishing 👍🏼
You are a star for subbing makes the trips worth it. I like rivers because of the never know what you might catch moment and the beach was unfishable. Baking hot but was exciting to see a few bites on a day that would have meant getting back in car and going home take care cheers Paul 👍👍🐠🐠
@@SeaFishingWithPaul no problem, and yeah that’s why I fish that river most days after work 🤣never know when I could pull out a 5lb bass , yeah does get hot down the beach when suns out reflecting of the water , ive fished where you was but never caught from there only up the river a bit more 👍🏼

@@SeaFishingWithPaul well I move up and down all the time , today I went for about 3 hours down near Tesco near the bridge going into Ford , caught 2 eels 1 small and the other was a proper decent size other then that it was alright today 👌🏽

also if you want a large bass try the beach immediately next to the river mouth on the east side and only a max of the third or even second breakout as the big girls hit the large shoals of mackerel that haunt the area . tight lines .K P

I fish in Littlehampton all the time
