Somewhere out there, there is an EMT forcefully moving the patients own hand to try and put over patch burns to determine the rule of palms.

Im just staring out with getting my CNA but im hoping one day I will make it to paramedic that's my dream
Pretty good ❤
Did you make a video on how to treat?
So does the head split into 4.5 for posterior and anterior or is it a full 9? My instructor tells me that the head will not split, only the extremities will. But other videos I see others splitting the head into 4.5. Could you please clarify 🙏🏾
Do superficial and partial thickness (formerly first and second degree) burns have zones?
Is it ok if we just combine infant and child (1-8) for rule of nines?
Great presentation, but the music was louder then you. You need a lapel mic ....
for the rule of 9 that adds up to 75% also when you say leg do you mean front and back or the whole leg what if its just back leg???
i got a question on my school book it says different numbers for the adult child and infant do i go by what the book says or this because i also looked it up and it see
yours and what the book says aswell need your help thank you how you see this
Hey i hope you see this but I’m currently in school for emt & I struggle a little with airway management, is it possible you can make a video on that? It would be much appreciated !!

The conent is good, but the background music on this one is distracting. Please consider lowering that volume in future videos.

What about if burn is on lower back or stomach do you classify that as 18% or 9% because it’s half of the area. P.s nice RE4 save music.
Thanks for watching!
It would be considered 9%. The torso refers to both the chest and abdomen, so for example if there are only burns on the stomach or only burns on the chest then it would be 9%. Same goes for other parts of the body such as if there are burns only on the FRONT of the entirety an arm and not the back, then it would be 4.5%, not 9%.
Lol funny enough, my EMT Class book never differentiated between WHOSE palm is use in the Rule of Palms. P
What about the sole of the feet and palms of the hand aren’t they critical?
Because of they are used in daily use
Why is the infants the same as the child’s?
Music in this video really threw me off and made me zone out multiple times
the background music here makes it hard to concentrate on what youre saying.
Music very distracting. I love you for years, but the music asked to go.
what if the only part burned is the eyebrows? how many percentage does that count?
That would be not enough body surface area to be significant, you would go based on severity/depth of that particular burn.
@@TheParamedicCoach if they suspected to have trauma inhalation, would that be counted as 4,5℅?
This music is so distracting. I would rather no music at all.
