Thank you for this video. I had a cerebellar stroke a few years ago. It was not only missed by the paramedics but also by the hospital I was admitted to. All paramedics should watch this.
My grandpa just had a stroke 1 hour ago😞😞😞 please keep him in your prayers
Prayers for your Grandpa
Evan, just passed my EMT exam this morning. I’m a NYS EMT-B thanks to you and your content! Couldn’t ask for a better paramedic coach. Don’t tell my Instructor that haha.
Great job!
Dude I feel! I’m learning more from you than my instructor!
@@Shadowstep Thank you!
I’m trying to be a firefighter but most station in my city require an EMT certification so I’m so glad I found your channel full of great stuff keep it up
Emt with US BORDER PATROL. My patient just had narrowing vision. Bp was normal , sugar normal , pulse ox readings normal. He was just extremely tired. Prior open heart surgery. Young patient. Other than the blurred vision that’s all I had. No other signs and symptoms
I had a TIA four days ago and enjoyed watching your video. I think you're fantastic at what you do. Thank you
I've read reviews saying they don't like his videos because he's too enthusiastic about EMS..... That makes 0 sense to me i want someone who is energetic about teaching, it makes it fun and more enjoyable to learn. I take the nremt in about a week for emt basic and have watched his videos religiously i'm nervous because i've never taken it before but i hope i pass and if i do it'll be thanks to you evan, much love!
How did you do?! Was the exam hard? I’m taking the exam soon and I’m nervous hahaha
@JjromQ emt is super easy I flew through, just remember there is a step by step order in how they you to answer questions. Watch his accelerator and you'll be good. Just took my advanced emt written exam the other week and passed the first time. Idk if your state does Aemt but watch his stuff, use his practice tests and you'll be good!
1. Thanks for these videos
2. at 13:00 you mentioned “flipped T waves” are often seen on EKG in these
events but you don’t know why…
If you & your subscribers want to know, here’s just a few of the most common reasons for Inverted T waves:
T wave inversions are often the result of right ventricular overload (common causes for RVO are chronic or acute pulmonary embolism)
Inverted T waves can also be caused by left ventricular overload (some causative examples are mitral valve prolapse, aortic stenosis & aortic regurgitation)
Lastly, inverted T waves are seen during the evolving phases of pericarditis or myocarditis.
Hope this helps 😊
Amazing content and refresher information. NYC EMS x 25 yrs ..

I have a question! So I’m only 17 but I’m a junior firefighter at my local fire department and I’ve taken and completed my emt class and exam. I ran a stroke call about a week ago and this guy could not talk or move but I noticed his eyes were looking kinda up and to an angle. Is this normal in most stroke pts?
Yes, that is called vertical nystagmus a sign of stroke as well. Thanks for watching Sarah!
I love your videos! But in this video, there's a high pitched ringing in the music that's driving me nuts 😂
