I asked ChatGPT to make a simple camera follow using Playmaker in unity, and IT DID IT, it not only recognizes PlayMaker but also knows exactly how to do the camera follow and much much more. I was stunned 😲
Yep, I'm working on a project and there are some physics that are out of the scope of the regular Unity engines physics and using chatgpt to help with that script. 😀
I'm testing ChatGPT3 power in the coprogramming field for extending some parts of my game that I'm developing with your PlayMaker tutorials, and I think that this is a very nice starting point of the Ai guidance in this field. The unique thing that scares me is that I'm sure that now we are "working" for the AI training it and that it will start something that will change the world as we actually know.
That's awesome David. I do think it's here to stay and it's already changed our world. People just don't know it yet. I think that AI will start to be embedded in all of the software that we use. I'm just curious about how Unity will incorporate.
I have used it a couple times for small things like a flickering light and a pop up UI with scrolling text for Unity. I have found however that I'm glad I put the time in learning C# for a ~year or so and my C++ background as it really is not a complete solution and needs corrections or more supplemental code. It is however a nice tool to get to the end result faster and not be bogged down in the code. Seems to give me more time to work on polishing elements as a single dev.
I have had ChatGPT write a movement engine for me in Unity and Unreal Engine so its definitely fun but still requires coding knowledge. Liked and subscribed!
WHY DON'T YOU MAKE A VIDEO IN WHICH YOU ARE MAKING A SMALL GAME WITH ONLY USING CHAT GPT IT WOULD BE FUN!!!! SO THAT PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO ARE JUST STARTING GAME DEVELOPMENT WILL KNOW HOW TO USE THESE AI TO OUR ADVANTAGE

@@BlizStudio for sure it seems that it still requires you to have programming knowledge, I agree it seems to be good for small things like a health script etc I think that it's a good tool for developers to save a lot of time and focus on more important and complex elements of the game
@@BlizStudio wow I've been delving into what chatGPT can do and it is actually insanely awesome and scary at the same time, there's nothing it can't do and it can do some pretty surprisingly complex stuff if you give it the right input, not only that but it can write playmaker actions as well, seriously impressive

I'm thinking about putting together a couple vids on using it as a tool in game dev process.

It's crazy what it can do. I wouldn't rely on it though and it might take several tries. I think it is great for simple little tasks.

Yep, definitely requires a bit of programming knowledge. I don't think anyone will get really complex systems out of it just yet.

chat gpt is nothing just only like a google search engine we search and chat gpt show result on in one place
It's been a pretty big help for me, especially with some complex tasks that I wouldn't be able to figure out on my own.
