I love the hunters, theyâre just so cool. With their armor design, their menacing presence and huge guys makes you completely change your fights style when versing them

In one of the books, it talks about one of Jon's first missions. And at one point, he sees a dead jackal (or grunt, I forget) on the ground that looks like it's been crushed by an elephant (animal, not vehicle) And later they learn that it was a hunter walking by, saw the jackal in front of it, and didn't care to walk around it, so it just stepped on its neck and kept walking

yeah and out of armor they are still rather deadly, as seen in Halo: Nightfall. This is also why the few times you hear hunters speak, they never use singular pronouns when referring to themselves, they operate with collective consciousness in each colony, making them very adaptable.

saying that the LekGolo didn't go along with the thought of the great journey makles sense when you think about it they must of allowed Sargent Johnson to use the colony unit (scarab) to open the door and stop the firing of the ring by tarturus. In a way halo 2's ending was thanks to the LekGolo
the halo 2 scarab did not have the support of the hunter worms...that was solely piloted by elites/ brutes
As I understood when I read about the scarabs the LekGolo isn't the sole thing that is making the scarabas (like the hunters) just that they controll the scarab which is a machine, so maybe johnson and the other marines controlled the scarab. For example the first scarab in halo 2 the elites are controlling the scarabs. Some scarabs are controlled by the lekgolo (halo 3) and the 2 scarabs in halo 2 are older versions and controlled by other species (elites etc)

Come one people, give the guy a break about his speech. He sounds like an otherwise intelligent and pleasant person. He might have difficulty reading or a speech impediment that he's having to work against. It hasn't stopped him from making high quality, entertaining videos.
I agree. I have a much less noticeable speech impediment and I can sympathize. It is REALLY irritating when my mouth just refuses to say what my mind tells it to say. I often just stop and take a deep breath, or if I'm not calm I might just mess up and go "okay mouth just freaking stop that shit! Gosh! Ugh!" And then I feel better. It only happens when I read though. Not when just talking with nothing to read from.
So I bet he gets fed up with his speech, and he can't very well just record 1 thousand takes until it's perfect (never happens). So he likely just bites the bullet and makes the videos.
Advice I have for him would be instead of making a script, write down about 2 to 5 words that remind him of a bunch if information. This way the reading problem won't kick in. I use this when I teach people. It helps me immensely. However, all speech problems are different, so it may be less effective for him (or more, actually).
I don't know if it's a speech impediment or that he's just really bad at reading his scripts.

I don't really have a problem with it but the only thing that bugs me is his pronunciation of Sangheli to put it simply it would be more or less easier to get someone to read a set of lines that says Sang-heli the second part sounding like how you would say Helicopter but as one word.
That or watch halo legends episode "The Dual" as the Sangheli say the name of their home planet at least one to two times in the show.
Anyway other then that the rest of the video was good.
Hunters have always been one of my favorite species in halo. The coolest moment in the whole halo series was when in halo 2 you play as the arbiter and the hunters side with you. Such a badass moment!

It was an epic moment when 2 hunters agreed to fight with you in H2 as Thel. They demolished everything! So they are used in the walkers as bio wires? Wow that is kind of cool.
There is also one interesting fact, that the flood can not infect the hunter due to their special physical structure.

I always wondered why the back of the Scarabs in Halo 3 looked like the back of a Hunter. I knew most of this, but that part was new to me.
So, The Hunters are basically a colony of Earth Worms encased in juggernaut armor?
Scarabs are actually also piloted by those worms.
I always wondered why that Scarab in Reach made a screeching noise when hit by Carter. Now I know that it was an actual living thing. That also explains why it's so smooth with its movements. I always thought it was just some Covenant vehicle like a giant Wraith with legs and lasers.

Francisco Martinez As a person who has played halo since its introduction to the xbox, I don't exactly agree with that sentiment. What 343i has done with the franchise isn't terrible, but you can see the influences of other games from the designers who had worked on previous project (namely the full integration of sprint and smaller maps both void vehicular use).The mechanics and level design of Halo 4 were not the best of the series, the story of halo 4 felt rushed. and the multiplayer lacks a lot of variety than previous titles.You're entitled to your opinion, however I wouldn't go so far to say that 343i hasn't done some pretty bad things with franchise as of late.

There's this thing that upsets me about the Hunter Pairs. Two things really.
They never have speech.
And, considering the amazingly imaginative concept of Worm Colonies, they are used by the game developers in unimaginative ways. It really hasn't changed since Halo 2.
I want to see a hunter pair combine into a terrifying Goro style monstrosity. Or perhaps split into Eight smaller Entities that scramble about the player, making itself a very difficult target as it attempts to reform behind you.

Caden Yancey Yeah it was stupid. They were in swarms, like they were locust's or something. Complete bullshit. The film wasn't that good either... They literally copied the exact story for Pitch Black, but put a Halo spin on it (if you can even call it Halo.) They changed all the armor of the UNSC and just kept the guns and vehicles used... AND they added some random alien smuggler guy, like this isn't Star Wars... This is Halo god DAMN IT!

Canonically, there were also a lot of Mgalekgolo who sided with the Separatists too, as you could probably see within the final mission(s) of Halo 2. They just weren't featured as allies in Halo 3's gameplay because that would be extremely confusing trying to distinguish between friend and foe (seeing as they were on both sides). In fact, I think a couple guys in Bungie actually acknowledged this as a problem in Halo 2 as well, during developer commentary of the first couple Arbiter missions.

Not really, text or not the way he speaks is really weird and suggests he either has a speech problem or isnt the best at english like how he says " sapient " wrong and " more rare" instead of rarer. he also says " more akin to singular body" instead of "bodies" or " a singular body". he even says what i ASSUME " formidable fuel rod cannons" as "form-able"

It's "Lekgolo" plus the Tagalog word "mga" which is used to make nouns plural in Tagalog. It's pronounced "manga" - with a single "ng" sound - not manga as in Japanese comics.

It's quite simple, really; they ARE the Scarab. The worms spread out through the Scarab's limbs and power core. Their armor is made from the same material as the Hunters'. Do you understand?

Think of the Hunters as a tiny Scarab. Or the Scarabs as giant Hunters. Either way, it'll work because the worms act as a hivemind covered in impenetrable armor. How much armor they have and what shape that armor is, is what determines the fundamental difference between a Hunter and a Scarab

Kel Smith that's exactly it. At the end of the video, when he's doing the "like, comment, subscribe" spiel, when he knows what he wants to say, it's fluent. The rest of the video is clearly reading a script that he hasn't rehearsed.

I've never been one for art books.. But it would be cool if it came with it. I'm more for statues :). I have the H3 legendary helmet, the halo reach statue, I also have that limited edition hunter statue from forward unto dawn that only 500 in the world were made, also the halo 4 master Chief statue from McFarlane toys.

Awesome videos,I personally loved listening to this one and the grunt one a lot. Helped me get interested in the species more, especially since I remember being a little kid and seeing Hunters up close like "It's worms.... I'm shooting at worms...." My only nitpick is really the way some stuff is pronounced,I have never heard their world pronounced "Te" oh and the weird was Gaseous was said two different ways but I understood it, just surprised me is all. I think it was "Formidable" with the cannon part but I heard "Formable" which I suppose isn't wrong since they fire different in certain Halos so perhaps they DO control how it fires
