All spit spot, ready to take to the skys. Lovely plane Cliff 👍🏻
Thanks Chris 👍
Somehow very satisfying to see it getting cleaned! An excellent and huge model! Looks great both on the ground and in the air!
I didn't realise how dusty it was 😁👍
I liked that, very good. Nice top on the rubber bands.❤
Thank you Nick, Cheers!
Haha! You had me with the title, Cliff... I thought it would be a metaphorical dusting off, not a literal one 😄 Flight footage looks absolutely fab!
Sorry Gina, it wasn't meant to be click-baitey, flight video this weekend, cheers 👍😁
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes 😆😆No worries, Cliff! 🤩
Cliff I lightly sanded mine and sprayed the parts with a dull coat. Looks much more like fabric now. I couldn't agree more with the early planes comment. I enjoyed the flights. Kinda watching these backwards!
Hi Adam, that wouldn't take much time for a stop-gap measure 🤔👍
Very nice Cliff 👌
Thanks Eric, always good to get an old bird back where she belongs 👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes 100% 👍
00:28 Hilarious Dusting off :)
Thanks 👍
Oh man! And I thought MY planes gathered dust!!
I know, I couldn't believe it either, this is what happens when you have too many aeroplanes and not enough time 😁👍
It's been years since I've flown my Camel or my D7.
Great looking model.
I think so too Bob! Cheers
I agree. Wings would look much better if they were less reflective. If you're pressed for time, why not spray a clear coat with a matt finish? Slight weight penalty, but fairly quick remedy.
Good idea, quick fix, but it wouldn't be as much fun as stripping it all off and making a real nice job of it ... like I've got the time, thanks for the idea though!
Nice one cliff crack on hows the hunter
Thanks Barry, Hunters waiting to be dusted off 😁👍
Such a lovely model.
I wonder if the covering would take some kind of satin or matt lacquer? Just a thought 😊
I have considered that in the past Mike but it's coming unstuck (delaminating) in places plus it's wrinkled and won't shrink, to do a really good job it would need stripping 🤔👍
Cliff the first part of the video sure sucked a lot. Fantastic Camel spa video and sure looks like a great flight. Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff, I didn't realise how dirty it was 😁🤔
Hi Cliff. I cant seem to find the nitro to electric conversion video for this model? Would you mind linking it please? Thank you
The closest I've got is this video which shows a picture with the cowl off and the layout of the gear czcams.com/video/mg85mUGHh3Q/video.htmlsi=eCv2UydzPe4a0RyB 👍
Another superb video, thank you for sharing, why the change from Graupner? I ask because I am going to be embarking on a ridiculous challenge of building the Nijhuis 17 foot Lancaster as my first ever RC build and I'm looking at radio gear and seriously considering the Graupner 32 mz Hott, or the Jeti 24, I'd choose Futaba but I'll not touch a windows CE OS, and I have a Spektrum DX 8 that I don't get on with that I've been practicing on a SIM.
Please keep up the awesome videos, I've been working my way through them all. I'm going to need as much knowledge as I can get lol
Cheers
James
Hi James, that's a very ambitious project, it's going to take a few weeks to put that together! I changed to Radiomaster because Graupner has stopped production, RM is also very powerful and I like the feel of it, cheers 👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Thank you, I wasn't aware of that, looks like I'll have to go with the Jeti, but I'll take a long hard look at Radio master.
Yes, it's a stupidly ambitious project that starts with getting a BIG shed lol. I have been inspired by your, and others videos, Mark Robinson and RC Model Geeks particularly. So I'm going to video it all.
Thank you again
Cheers
James
@@jamescattanach1129 Well I've just subscribed James so start by videoing your shed build, that's exactly what Chris did on Dad's RC Hangar, good luck 👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Hi Cliff, I hadn't realised that I was not actually subscribed to your channel despite having watched quite a few of your videos. That mishap has now been rectified.
Thank you for your subscription it's a huge compliment that I take very seriously and you are my first subscriber, yay!. I'm actually thinking of creating a new identity specifically for my exploits and I will be sure to let you know when that happens, I am a little way off getting started but hoping to do do so October time, I have a massive learning curve that I am undertaking first, oh, and a massive budget needed too. Lol
Great idea about starting with the shed build and I will definitely do that.
I've taken a closer look at the Graupner situation as I am really quite taken with the functionality that the mz 32 has to offer particularly around multiple receivers and redundancy and being able to add channel functions to the home screen.
I am being ridiculously over ambitious and I have some quite exciting plans for the project that may need most of the 32 channels. But that'll be a gentle slow reveal during the project build but bombs, lighting will be involved and it appears that Graupner are back in business but I'm still thinking about Jeti.
Your encouragement is just inspirational, Thanks again. James
