Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is a pc simulation game that simulates the life of a typical Starfleet cadet.The player is a new member and leader of a cadet group and at begin he has to pass all the simulated missions.

This takes me back to the early 2000s. I played a lot of this and X-wing 98 back then.
This game's soundtrack is phenomenal, too!
What a blast from the past i loved this game
I did like this game when it came out but Klingon Academy was waaay better. To this day KA is still my favorite Trek game.

I have the book based on this game, and the beginning is very different.
Forrester and Brady are lifelong friends there, for one. There's a terrorist attack on Rotherot by a handful of cadets, Forrester instinctively springs off his seat to tackle one of them... but it's revealed to be fake, as a way to teach cadets about the consequences of non-action. Then due to him being the only one to react, Forrester is given those faux "terrorists" as his crew, plus Brady since they know one another.
i remember being so impressed by the graphics of this game haha.
I was so impressed at 10 years old the first time I played Doom II in my computer I'm still impressed by the graphics!
Bro me and my Dad would play this everyday. I used to be so thirsty for him to get off work bc I wasn’t smart enough to pass some of the missions yet I think I was like 6yrs old

Loved this game... Got to the last mission and just couldn't complete it. If i remember correctly i was in charge of a couple of miranda class star ships... Any one know where we can buy one now?

This looks like it was hard to navigate the lack of fix object to get ur baring with is a must in games like this or at-least a good enough map, but the map does not even show your position relative to the 3 dimensional space you fly around in.
Yeah, navigation could sometimes be a pain in this game. But you got used to it. Some of the later missions though... ugh... Just the name Alshoff should send shivers down the spine of anybody who played this game...
the mini map does indeed give a 3d position of objects relative to your own ship. combat would be nearly impossible otherwise
