- Tune in to learn the VA Special Monthly Compensation (SMC) rates for 2024 as a result of a 3.2% cost of living adjustment. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) awards special monthly compensation (SMC) to veterans with service-connected conditions so debilitating they warrant a rating higher than 100 percent. The idea is that certain disabilities or combinations of disabilities are more severe than accounted for by the regular rating schedule.

I was awarded erectile dysfunction 0% on 3/5/2024. To date, I have not received any SMC-K payments. Do I have to file something to receive SMC-K?
What is the difference between smc-l and SMC-r.1?
How does one qualify for this I just recently almost got evicted from my apartment because they said I was not cleaning it good enough not to mention I cant cook for myself anymore I have to order expensive meals already made shipped to my door and it is ridiculously expensive taking out the trash like quater mile too dumpster I need a cane too walk so I don't fall down but in certain cases I have to because I need bothe arms to get threw three doors just to get out of my apartment and so on I'm always taking a chance of falling just feel the other day thanks
