Nathan Donald Diaz (born April 16, 1985) is an American professional mixed martial artist, currently signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). That really wasn't that long ago in terms of how long the UFC has been around. Feck, he was & is Nick Diaz's kid brother. Nick was a badass gangster long before skinny, young Nate broke onto the scene.
Sure, Nate's a badass, but OG? Not likely. There are countless bad mother feckers who came up through the ranks of the UFC & other MMA promotions while little Natey was still teething off of his mother's tit. I like Nate & I am a fan & respect his approach to the fight game but the original gangster, he definitely is not.

Nate Diaz is one of those very rare fighters who operates in the deep..and then takes it even deeper.
That's more than just having character. That's a totally different kind of heart. That level of commitment to take that kind of punishment and still work at a high level inspite of the pain and exhaustion is more to do with the mindset than the physical ability. Nate just happens to have both going for him. He excels in the most hardcore exchanges. This is where he wins. He wins because it becomes very obvious to the other fighter that they are going to be in a war. A real war. Not just a fight. A war. And that's demoralizes alot of fighters. Only the very few fighters have this skillset. It's the ability to control your mind and stay focused, no matter what.
Nate's a living scar wall. He reminds me of jake LaMotta. Brutal brawler.

Nate Diaz fought Masvidal who went more than 5 rounds with Usman. He also fought and nearly Ko'd Leon Edwards who is one of the best in the division and is also fighting for the title. Nate can hang with Leon and Masvidal. Usman finished Gilbert who nearly Ko'd Khamzat I can see Nate going the full 5 rounds he can also get smashed on his back and finish the fight with a triangle just like Anderson did to uncle chael. Put some respek on Nathans name.

4-6 in Ten fights in ten years 1-3 last four fights. Opponent at best. Masvidal (also 1-3 in last four fights) beat the brakes off of him and he didn't win a round against Leon. Dude won't make it out of the second round before they stop it.

I've always been impressed by Nate. He beat the schit out of every opponent like they just messed with his little sister. He knows how to entertain fans while completely demoralizing his opponent.
