What I find really amazing about many of these puzzles is the fact that these occurred to someone in the fist place in order for them to exist. The conceptualization itself is amazing. I would never be able to do this.
If you use a mirror, you can see both sides while solving the puzzle.
Hmmm but having to deal with a mirror image might lead you to make a move that sets you back a couple of steps.

Only that might count as "cheating", because the puzzle didn't provided you that as a tool in order to solve it. If you want to apply the "No outside help/tools allowed" rule on yourself.
@@maisiesummers42 A mirror only transposes, but dose not flip. Or is that he other way round? Anyway, the peg that is in your right hand would still be on the right side in the reflection
@@jasonjohnson9735 That transposition tends to mean that you'd push left when you needed to push right. Try holding a pad up to a mirror and use the mirror to write some non-symmetrical letters. You'll see you have to adjust your thinking.

Bro I just got this puzzle myself after months of searching. It's awesome as hell. Quick edit after the video, I do appreciate you showing the return to original state. I also wanted to give props for the solve time. I'm the puzzle guy at the office and I'm still coming up behind you on the hanayama puzzles a good 20 minutes. Chris I just want you to know that I visited Montreal for the first time this weekend and while I was there I bought my first puzzle and my first set of collectible cards!! The Hanayama Cast Violon and this super cool retro deck!! I’m having a fun and frustrating time trying to figure the puzzle out. This is one of the most interesting puzzles I have seen featured.
This was the hardest puzzle for me to watch you solve. Yes, thank you for going the extra on camera to put back together.
I can relate to the curiosity/puzzle solving thing but your patience is a thing of beauty.
I’d remember the feeling of freedom and joy and connectedness you get when you travel somewhere for the first time - work and life has me grounded more than I’d like... or the feeling of running full pelt when I was a kid, and much fitter... or the feeling of riding a motorbike through a flat plain under a big blues sky... so many excellent things to remember - good question 👌
The intro performance is simply eye candy under every aspect! Love the orange theme with the lighting, the special effects and the overall tone of the shot. Freaking awesome!

That's crazy Chris! I was just thinking about the same thing this morning as far as memorizing things including a truly shuffled deck of cards. I've read some research and a few things including memory palaces, etc. on memory techniques. Can't wait for the vid!!

I used to memorize things like a master but I need to relearn it and use it in life. Love this puzzle because it looks so simple but I’m sure it’s a little trippy

This is like a more advanced (but prettier!) version of their Laby puzzle, a ring with a maze on either side with another ring with a slot for the maze and a pin/nub on each side, and in order to separate to rings you gotta do both mazes. I've had it for years and never solved it on my own 😅

This one of my favorite Hanayama puzzles, I've had it for a year now and I still enjoy solving it. I also have a similar one called L'Oeuf (the egg), @Chris have you tried it?
