Thank you so much. My son's aggression even with a BIP has been scary at times and we're looking into the future what medication might be appropriate. He's 11 and I've reached out to as many supportive services in our community...it has been extremely disappointing right now. I've been trying to get this sorted out before he gets too big 😔. He's such a kind person and it's difficult to watch him struggle in this way.
good evening dr michael murray, i am a mother of a 15 year old son , his name is kico we live in spain im english and his father is spanish , my son kico is so talented , has a great sence of humour both in english and in spanish he was very affectionate and full of life ,he is amazing .DR Murrey i really need some urgent advice , kico went to school a normal loving caring , funny outgoing boy to this special school that i had no control over when he was moved from his old school a mainstream line school which he attended at the age of 3 til his was 10 , he just missed going to the secondary school due to a new boy who joined his school and turned kicos life upside down . So since then ,i had no say or control but he was acting out alot and the outcome was he was sent to another school which specialized in children with special needs and although its a good school its not the right school for my son , They have placed him in the nearest level which unfortunately in this school which is a great school for other children is not for my kico .So his gone backwards , his there until his 21 , then i can clearly see they are not running with his amazing talents that he has , he is not being allowed to show his true potential and my fear and his is that at 21 when his last year is coming to the end he will end up at home again with me as he is not being prepared in the correct way for adulthood ,nor are there promise that they will find his talents and run with them to find the perfect job to fit his amazing abilities and passion ,his not being given the chance to shine and truely use his true talents and gifts his been given . ITS a long story but he went to school and since he started his been locked inside a closet room and the light turned out more than 3 times , i fill i have failed him , i love him so , he has gone threw the mill .The school told me at the beginning that there is a safe room when he has a meltdown a crisis but that room my son is very verbal and he has never been in that safe place , a lot has happen to him , since the pandemia ,covid 19 , he went to school this school normal and until 4.30pm was brought home by school bus and dropped off at the school bus stop , and i was horrified , it was kico in body but he had gone , his elbows were high his eyes were rolling aroung in his head , he was pail and he didn't know who i was or where he was , he wouldn't let me touch him and then for over 2 months we he and i went to hell and back he hasn't slept a full night since his been born , wakes up every 2 to 3 hours and the last 2 years a doctor prescribed him with diazepan 5 mg one tablet and hour before bed , i must say , our lives changed and its the best i have felt in 14 years and my son was doing well , then we were then told that this pill he has to stop as his brain at 15 is still developing and its permantely dangerously damaging his memory ,but this doctor after every 3 months revision failed to stay for our very important revision since then, we have reverted back as before a nightmare for my son , his missing school , he went today and it was terrible as his out of sorts his confused he is not sleeping and nor am i , and due to so many years without sleep im very ill and , so is he know , i need to know is diazepan very bad for my son , and if so why did he precribe this pill to him and why had he left us with no solucion or alternative and now my son is in such a state , its neglet and no one in our medical profession seems to care , im fighting for my sons future without any support or care from anyone . please would you give my son and myself some advice to what he could take to help hom sleep threw the night ,so his quality of life is good and hope for his future , also would you advice me on where i need to go for a professional opinion on my sons future , his life has just started and its too important to just push him aside like he don't matter , he does his a very special ,loving ,gentlemen ,with a gift of knowledge and a sence of humour that is out of this world , he counts so much , i need someone to help us
