This game was practically bleeding creativity. It's not nostalgia goggles to say that they put more love into this game than they've put in anything in a long time. The bygones days of Capcom really _were_ better, when they were just throwing stuff at the wall to see what stuck. Cameo appearances and easter-eggs and little nods here and there, games like this were a Capcom fanboys opus.

Yeah, this one Capcom's most underrated games had tons of fun playing Pocket Fighter on Street Fighter Alpha Anthology for ps2. I definitely would love to see another Pocket Fighter sequel in a 3d form.

It's always a little funny to see fighting game vets play Pocket Fighter and assume it's gonna be easy cause of how long they've played fighting games...but have so much trouble adjusting to the gems, the item throws and just how stupid fast it goes on speed 3. I've always had a soft spot for Pocket Fighters cause I love how the characters turn into other characters from Capcom games..in the case of June it's one of the few times we see her...I highly doubt Capcom is gonna bring the Plasma series back..even though they keep building the story with Project X Zone...seriously Project X Zone 2 was the last place we saw June and Hayato/Black Hayato.. they haven't had a game since Star Gladiator 2/Plasma Blade on Dreamcast..3 fighting series I'd love for Capcom to get to work on is a new Plasma Blade, a new Darkstalkers, and a new Rival Schools.
I'm excited to see this game get a port in the new fighting collection. A new game in this style would be cool as a side project or something zany like a Nintendo vs. Capcom.

That game's sequel was my first exposure to Darkstalkers. Good times. I also like how the gem system effectively makes special moves more dangerous the longer the fight lasts. It's like the fighters are holding back initially or something. Plus this shopping district stage with Bison and little Cammy has got to be one of the most adorable Capcom stages ever.

Ridley could do a lot worse, than having this as her first fighting game. (Would have to be on training mode first, but the difficulty is great for someone learning fighting games, that they aren’t all easy. The bright and cheerful colours and animations make it very appealing, and the references might make people interested in other games in Capcom’s history. The special moves can be accessed fairly easily also, especially compared to SNK’s outings in to the fighting game genre.
This used to be my faaaaaavorite game as a kid, definitely brings me back & I hope Capcom revives this game somehow in the future.
