Hadoukens run in 4K dude, that’s what made them so popular.
Slowdowns were an intentional effect. Which becomes obvious in certain circumstances when it doesn’t kick in. For example, during the credits roll. It’s definitely NOT a framerate performance issue of the hardware given that it does more than this on a regular.

People have made the World Warrior bosses playable by hackwork. Many of their commands have no relation to how they were done later when they were made playable.
Guile's just the AI being an asshole though.

The AI have the specials just as a move rather than having to worry about inputs. Walk forward flash kick/Blanka ball is the worst.

When I was about 6, back in 2001, I went to my first arcade and I remember hearing "SHORYUKEN!!!" throughout the place and I didn't have a single clue what that was. Needless to say, that was the day I got into Street Fighter. Preciate the memories Max!

My parents left me alone for hours in a place with an arcade machine for the classic SFII. And that was the day I fell in love with this series.
I remember buying a SNES back in 1994 and getting SFII Turbo with it I was addicted so much I never came off it for weeks. It was a perfect version of the arcades

I remember a long long time ago.. I was in my early 20's living in Cape Charles Virginia. This bar I went to had 2 video game cabinets in it. Street Fighter 2 and another. I played SF2 all the time. Pumping Quarters into it. One night I put in a quarter, Picked Sagat and played. I didn't have a clue what I was managing to do, but after months of stopping by this place and playing people and the CPU... I defeated Bison and was met with the special ending and the end screen portrait shot. I realized then what happened. I had defeated all the fighters, with double perfects for each one.... first / last and only time I ever managed it despite trying to recreate that a lot.

The original street fighter aka "Fighting Street" on TG16 was a pain in the ass to play period. the controls where terrible and the special moves where hard or borderline impossible to pull off.
I played the original Street fighter on retropie and I could get the special moves off but it wasn't consistent. I only made to it birdie and lost oh well.

Especially if you play the messed up version in Mame where it's too fast because the clock speed is nerfed. I don't know if they fixed it since then.

To fight Guile, you need to uppercut just out of range and he'll automatically do a flash kick then inflict damage. Repeat.
When I was a little kid, the day care center I went to after school had a SNES that we all could play and this game was one of the favorites for everyone. There was one guy, a Torres Strait Islander named Lindsay, who was an absolute prodigy with Guile. He had the timing down so well that he could spam Sonic Booms from the corner of the screen ad nauseum until the opponent was defeated. Nobody could challenge him because it was timing and skills beyond anything we'd ever seen on a conventional console.
I still wonder what happened to Lindsay and his insane Sonic Booms of Doom.

What bugs me is that Capcom basically went with the US Rom's of the games in the collection. It explains why the game goes by the 30th Anniversary Collection goes by the subtitle of "The International" in japan, because this is basically what was sent to the US and other markets back in the day.
For Street Fighter 2 and ST it's not that big of a deal... But in the case of Street Fighter Alpha 2, it's a rather large lost. The lack of Street Fighter Zero 2 Upper/Dash (known to the US as Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold) is a pity, if only for the rather large balance adjustment (plus Cammy).
Yeah, complete loss of sanity is not a big deal.

TheeLightBearer i remember trying ST in MAME and not being able to beat anyone, whereas the PC version had difficulty settings more like the SNES versions. Are you sure this is a bug? In Japan, it is called Street Fighter X Grandmaster Challenge, and might have been intended for SF veterans only.

Hey Max, here's a boss rage idea. How about a huge gauntlet of EVERY arcade mode in the sf collection on the hardest difficulty, and you go from each one to the next game in the collection. Maybe to make things harder, if you fail once you have to start ALL the way from the beginning.
