@@WATCHingJames I can vouch for that- when doing initial research on 2024 sale dates i cam across many sits that all listed the sale as starting on the 28th & not th 18th....

I have one question please, if you have the time to reply: is the "Choice" category on Aliexpress watches, used to sell returns or B stock inventory?
- i have done some research & i keep seeing this topic rearing its head. & there is a piece- the Steeldive 1992 GMT (Rolex explorer II homage ) that is very interesting from a reputable dealer in so far as reputable dealers go on Aliexpress).
Aliexpress returns suck at the best of time, so im trying to mitigate such issues.
Not being an internet sheep, i don't believe everything that i read ;), so i thought that i would ask someone with evident experience. on what your take on the "Choice" purchases is?

In my experience, the watches I have purchased from choice have been brand new with stickers and tags... I have also read that they are returns etc but I don't have any evidence to support this.. I would suggest it's excess stocks or run out of models that aren't selling as well. Hope that helps!

It seems to be a Steeldive 'Choice" outlet- i tried linking it(its the Explorer II homage-polar version that i want), but CZcams deleted my reply.
It is selling 12 different steeldive models of which 2 are the Capt Willard model, ergo me thinking that it isn't excess stock, but thats just me guessing. The store has a 97%+ rating, so thats something.
My dilemma is that being an expat working in Greece atm, Aliexpress tend to treat returns/refunds etc with even more disdain than the 'bigger' countries & you cant pay with paypal from greece- Aliexpress sellers only offer PP to bigger countries!
So im thinking pay an extra 20 quid on Steeldive plus (larger Steeldive store) for the same model for in the hope that it wont be a return.
That or get the pagani version of the same watch on a reputable Pagani dealer(they have a v4 that has been upgraded, but the steeldive model has better specs(300m wr/better lume, more proportionate hands etc).
You yourself have reviewed the V2 / V3/V4 and given them the nod.

The Pagani "Speedy" is one of 4 I picked up. Still looking in vain for a mecha-quartz diver with sapphire. Watchdives WD1680Q is available in a no date VH31, but I have been unable to find it available anywhere.

Hi, I am wondering if the PD Polar Explorer you have is the so-called latest 'V4', ie. with NH34, better hands and hour indices, lume in 40mm size ?

Steeldive Submariner fails his magnifier glass, scale is excesive, breaks the experience, they have to replace that part with less zoom like the original. I think they have to produce the same without magnifier glass
I am planning to remove the cyclops if/when I receive mine.
Wait till you get older & your eyesight starts to fail- that cyclops is a godsend
- i have it on my Rolex sub & wish that Omega offered it on some of its models- my Chrono seamaster 600m has a date complication that is useless to me if im not wearing reading glasses lol!
So that 2.5 magnification is a godsend for some of us older farts....

Buyers beware: Whilst you might receive an item of acceptable quality, be aware that any and all AliExpress guarantees are worthless and will not be honoured: you may well be sent Chinese junk (!) and be stuck with it...with no free return/refund/repair/replacement. With the last defective watch I returned, they not only refused to refund me but failed to send the watch back to me so that I could repair it myself!!! Caveat emptor...
Not always. I bought a Steeldive 1953 that was 20 minutes fast every 3 hours. Told them. Got refund in 2 weeks.
Ok if it were hundreds of pounds/dollars you might think a bit before buying but at these prices it’s worth the risk and I have never had any problems with the watches I’ve bought. The quality is usually outstanding for the money.
but what about smart watches?
