- This was the only story I recall ever losing my cool. Mike was so rude to me I finally got a bit nasty. He deserved it though---he was arrest after the story and spend time in prison.

Seems like every one this guy confronts doesn't have a driver's licence.
If you fail to pay any fee or child support to the court they can choose to suspend your license. Personally I think that it's counterproductive because you can't go to work if you can't drive. But that's the system we live in.

Sulfen on top of that if you work in business you get your business licenses stripped until you pay off your dues.... which means you are either most likely to be forced into a minimum wage job for YEARS or work, illegally, under a friend or partner's license. The system is bunk. My deadbeat dad is in this situation because of not paying child support but I dont think revoking licenses (which helps you make money) is the way to go.

I almost got in on a pyramid scheme years ago. The "buy in" was $50, but, back then, that was a lot of money. Luckily for me, I talked to my dad about it first and he "educated" me. A few weeks later, the whole thing came apart and everyone involved got arrested! Even though no real names were used in "helicopter" (the name of that one), everyone got busted, and, did time. The "lower level" people got 10 days in county jail, but, the top few went to prison. Thanks dad!

My husband (at the time was my boyfriend) almost got roped into pyramid scheme too.
Luckily he always talks to me about investment stuff. He was explaining this one thing to me and I said “Babe that is just a pyramid scheme. Don’t do it.” And he tried to fight me on it so he went to their website and right there on the website was a pyramid diagram. I said “Look it’s literally a pyramid.” He felt so dumb. A couple weeks later they had exit scammed everyone.

For those interested: Mike was investigated by the police for his involvement with "Pay it Forward", while searching his laptop they found 6 indecent pictures of minors. He plead no-contest to both possession of child pornography and racketeering at two separate trials. His bail was set at $350,000 and he served a year in prison, he is now out on probation.
Excuse the ignorance but why is a pyramid scheme illegal when the participants going in knew full well what is at stake? If I'm told I have to "pay it forward" before I get my reward, what's the catch? It's transparent from the get go, where's the issue?
