Cause almost every state has the same laws regarding contracted work - as long as work is "done", then it's a civil dispute and not a criminal one. For most of the video, it was just shoddy work (e.g. not caulking inside correctly) is not a crime. And even then "shoddy" is subjective. The only one where the homeowner (or government) can probably pursue is the mold at 4:31, as that's a health hazard. No contractor can in good faith say mold during construction (and left alone) is normal and that would fail an inspection every time.

They can use endless stall tactics just to rack up your attorney's fees and scare you into giving up. @@Jcreek201, what you said is completely false. Most jurisdiction considers issue between a contractor and you - a civil matter, as long as "work" has been done that satisfies local codes. However, it becomes a criminal case when negligence is involved. Letting mold grow and not handling it is one such example, as mold can be toxic. A contractor can convince a jury of 12, bubbling on the floor is cause he's a crappy contractor and not good at his job, but bubbling isn't harmful. But no one will be convinced that mold isn't harmful and can be left alone.
I had a client who had the same issue with the builder. If you sue him or the company he could just change the name of the company and file for bankruptcy. What my client did was they put a lien on his bond. All builders have to be bonded. It's the law. When there's a lien on your bond you can no longer work legally under contract. It basically shuts the builder down until the lien is paid. In my client's case he got paid in full 2 days later because all work that the builder was doing had come to a halt.
Nash is obviously a terrible business man and builder. Whatever name he is operating under the results are the same. Shoddy project management skills, in addition to poor money management of client funds. Stay away from any business dealings with this guy and if you’ve been wronged file a complaint with LARA and file a civil suit.
A person puts an harassment lien on your home, sue him for harassment, emotional distress, what ever a good lawyer can come up with. Take him to court, make him pay retainers and fees of real lawyers. What was in your contracts? The last two homes we bought were modulars. We signed contracts so we didn't have to pay a penny more than what was in the contract. We got detailed plans and specs. We withheld 10% until any issues were corrected and both times, all issues were corrected to our satisfaction. Of course there will be issues. You're dealing with workers who may or may not be experienced but issues should be corrected. The first modular is now 23 years old and just as sturdy as the day we bought it. Modular is the only way we will buy a home because I've heard too many horror stories of people ending up way over budget. I can't believe this guy is getting away with this! We had our attorney go over both contracts before closing also.

Ripped-off customers who received letters from the builder's father/lawyer should report the lawyer to the Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission (ARDC). That tribunal will investigate the lawyer and he may be disciplined for his wrongdoing by sending threatening letters on behalf of a crook. The ARDC complaint will remain on his record and will be able to be seen by anyone who Googles the attorney's name.

One being a customer who owes me $500 and price never changed throughout the whole job. told him $1500 with payment installments of $500.. $500 after the first day, $500 once halfway done and the final $500 when finished. He completely ghosted me and every time I service his neighbor house he and his family run inside/try to hide.
Perhaps the concrete companies, lumber companies and rest of the trades should warn people looking around the area about him. Post of their web sites, they refuse to work with him or any company he is apart of.... Let unknowing people find into that way....
