My husband and I built our home on the golf course in Summit Greens in 2005. We loved everything about the location, especially the proximity to shopping and South Lake Hospital. The indoor pool was a definite plus, and the exercise room had a very pleasing view. I sincerely hope that the attitude of the HOA has improved. After only a few years of the “Gestapo” hard handed attitude towards management, my husband and I chose to sell our home. We had previously dealt with HOA’s without any problems prior to Summit Greens. Caveat emptor!
Summit Greens is now on my list.

Explore 55+ is the benchmark for Florida communities. Second to none!
We were actually building elsewhere in Clermont when we found Summit Greens. Fell in love with the homes and the landscape. The clubhouse, pool, workout rooms are amazing. The folks who work there are fantastic at customer service,; caring about everything that goes on with both residents and property. One must actually see it to believe it. After a couple of years of searching this was the best place to settle down. We have developed some great, true friendships at Summit Greens.
This looks like a great community! Love the natural gas and also what the HOA covers. The location to shopping is great too! I was wondering how soon I should reach out knowing that I won’t be able to travel until probably close to the end of the year?

Important to note is that, even though it is 55+ community, the Association can still approve a certain percentage of residents that are younger than 55. As was in my case. Thank goodness because this place is amazing. An amazing rolling hills, some that slope in to a tropical lake. Lots to do to keep active with group activities, etc. I can’t wait to have the golf course back up. This video was waaaaaay t short to do this community justice,IMHO.
Lived at Summit Greens. Was my dream house and I loved it there, but had to move because their policy of children under 18 not allowed to live there did not apply to all residents. My neighbor had her whole family living with her. Even had her grandkids first day of school picture on Face Book in front of her house because they lived there. I finally made my husband move. No sense paying to live in a over 55 community when I had grade school kids living next door to me year round.
Thanks this looks like a great community, you should do a video on what homes are for sale at various price ranges, this ticks all our marks, Grand ballroom, hot tub, ( added bonus indoor pool) 1/2 to Disney, 45 minutes to a decent rifle range, HOA is not bad as it includes lawn care, internet and cable.
Hi are there any pickle ball courts?? What is the current amount for the HOA on single family homes??
Looks nice, but lack of pickleball courts is a dealbreaker
That is in the process with teams already playing. Contact the office for details. The groups are quite active
But, but what about golf CARS, to restaurants, shopping, health and such? You know, like The Villages.... : )

Do they have condos in that Community?
Hi Carl! Summit Greens unfortunately does not have condos.

No. Strictly single family homes.
Do most of these 55+ allow an adult child to live with you?
I believe so as I was told that the restrictions are that they can not be in public schooling age…….grade to high school. Contact the offices for details.
