- Talked to an interesting random sample of kiddos from Caltech! Haha feels weird that I'm a graduate, so I say "kiddos" very ironically XD This was my first street interview :o We had technical difficulties and this is my last chance on Caltech campus in a very long time, so I'm sorry for the audio issues 😢 Let me know if you'd like me to do this kind of video again! Part 2 will come when I'm back on campus hehe

Graduated Uni and in tech for awhile now but I always love watching uni student interviews cuz their drive is really insane when you think about how they are balancing all of those classes on top of social life/discovering themselves. Really inspires me to not to be complacent with my learning wherever I am in life. Bless them all.

I recommend you try and find a research opportunity with a Caltech lab! And make sure your academic ability is top-notch in terms of advanced STEM courses and grades
@@wamyy5 like an internship? One of my classmates from Calc I is literally doing an internship I think it’s biomedical I forgot but our professor had connections and linked her up to with them.

I LOVE Caltech.
I really wanted to go here, but unfortunately was rejected for undergrad. Nobody really understands my disappointment with it since I still got into an 'ivy' but the culture/people, academic rigor, class size, etc. there don't fit well with me. That being said, at least I can try again for grad school.

I heard those two are also incredible difficult! But I will admit that I’ve heard Caltech tends to be a bit harder

Yes, I agree that Caltech is the most brutal in the world academically in terms of huge volume of homework & problem sets as well as the sheer difficulty of take home exams. I wouldn't dare go there to drive myself crazy but settle for an easier school like Claremont McKenna, for example.

Possibly but I don't have the work ethic to be successful at Caltech or Harvey Mudd or MIT. I liked parties socializing with girls way too much that studying hard was not enjoyable for me. A school like UCSB would have appealed to me the most but it's way too large, frankly speaking.

UCSB is an incredible school - you should come up north to see the campus! Too many beautiful girls and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. They have organic chemistry, chemical engineering courses, and much more but the difficulty level is about half of Caltech's so you would've graduated from UCSB in 2/3 years instead of 4!
I wish i could go to an ivy or prestige school. But I got a C+ in my precalc class this year (freshman) :(. My hopes are gone
but its cool looking at Caltech :D
