  • In this video, I install Mosko Moto’s Reckless 40L pannier system. While the price seems steep, the quality is unbeatable in my opinion. Its modularity also makes it extremely versatile. I'll give updates as I use the system more.
No, I do not have any affiliation with Mosko Moto, I am simply pleased to find a product and a business that is genuinely dedicated to quality.

First, thanks for very thorough and detailed video - this kind of content is very useful! I found the video while searching if the Reckless (V4.0 nowadays) would fit my NX500, that I am about to pick next week. Seems quite convincing, even though this is earlier version. The only thing is that I haven't ordered the luggage rack for my bike so I'm wondering if the pillion handle bars will provide possibility to strap the system well enough..

I’m not familiar with the NX500 but if it’s similar to the CB, you should be setup well. I later put it on my CRF250L and it has served me well to this day.

NX500 is derived from CB500X with few improvements but much of the geometry (and even frame?) is same, and 500X again shares much things with CB500F, so I guess I would be good. Thanks!

Thank you for this video. Nice to see a reckless 40 on a non-adventure bike. Also nice: 2 stinger tailbags.
I'm thinking of buying a Reckless 40 for my (electric) Energica Eva. Problem is that it's base sits on the passenger seat, while the whole seat has to be lifted for charging (the plug is under the seat).

@Dutch Wayfarer - Thank you! I've found having the two Stinger bags to be really handy. The Reckless 40 completely obscures my passenger seat as well which is inconvenient but I don't really have to access that area for anything. Having the charging port obstructed like that sounds is a different story. I hope you can find a good pannier solution for you bike and thank you for the support!

Wonder how well this would do on a CB500X for hammock camping?

@Shamus - My only complaint with the 40L is that the CB500F's plastics that go around the pillion seat are very wide and don't fit with the system perfectly. That is not Mosko Moto's fault, it's just a cross-compatibility thing. (They fit perfectly on my CRF250L). I don't think the CB500X has quite 'as wide of hips' per se as the CB500F so it would probably fit better. As far as usefulness, if you're trying to go ultra-lightweight, these would probably be the some of the best panniers to go with in my onion. The quality is top-notch and Mosko Moto are awesome when it comes to helping customers, I speak from personal experience. Happy riding!
