I had always the problem that when the garbage bag was verry full that things like milk cartons or tincans were stay hanging on those inner sides of the trtash can and I could not put out the bag whithout to destroy it. It does not make sense to construct a trash can that has heels on the inner surfaces.
they need to redesign the lid lock I had to buy 2 bins just to use the lid as after 6 months the spring break and lock don't work -

I love your review. Unhappily I bought one and the springs popped out. I cannot figure out how to put them back in. If anyone who reads this has a trash can WITH the springs in Could you post a picture? I thank you in advance...
This trash can is a giant tsk tsk - that's what. Lol. I also felt very compelled to shout out to the four winds where this trash can could improve. Price and aesthetics are what got me into this bin, functionality, inconvenience and engineering flaws are making me shop around for a new trash can barely 4 months later.

what i'm interested in is: how waterproof is the lid? i plan on keeping 3 of these on my balcony to sort my recyclables, and i really don't want any water leaking in the paper one.
You might want to look elsewhere for something like that. The lid does not form any kind of seal, and and water that trickles into the cracks and crevices around the lid will end up in the trash can.

Wait is the trash can good after all?
*1) Nothing wrong with being plastic, other than aesthetic. It's not going to break from normal usage. It's also fairly thick.*
*2) Lid is fine... once again, normal usage, it's not going to break.*
*3) This one I agree, incredibly terrible design. Enough to be a deal breaker maybe.*
*4) The ring is ok... not everything needs to be metal. The only way it'll break is if you're trying to break it.*
