Great video! I was apprehensive at first about upholstery and boat cushions but you make it look so easy. Thanks!

I really like the way you are separating & marking all your pieces. Thank you for your time to teach. Really enjoy watching

I love your technique to making the pattern. I recently redid a complete interior for a Beneteau sailboat and did a similar approach with alignment marks. But I did not cut on the seam allowance and probably added 5-10% to my labor unnecessarily. I'm looking forward to the next video, which hopefully will help me with my own personal reupholster project on my 2004 Maxum 18' bowrider, whose seats are much rattier than what you have in this video. I'll probably have to replace the foam too. Thank you so much for posting this content! -Paul D, NC

Thank you so much. It sounds like you have a big job ahead of you! Foam replacement can be a fun challenge for sure. If some of the foam is salvageable, sometimes it can be steamed back to life to avoid replacing all of it. Good luck to you!

Are you using a walking foot machine?

Any recommendations for a first timer do what sewing machine I should use as well as thread size and needle size

I'd suggest looking for a used machine that has reverse and a walking foot. For thread and needle, it depends what you sew. I often use a #19 needle and 92 or 138 thread size.
