Beyond interesting. My personal wiring found how teenage girl her wording and mannerisms and tombre were _incredibly_ uncomfortable. It physically didn't sit well with me. At all. (*itching under skin)
seeing her this happy and energetic again .... literally so emotional for me... also, Travis adds SO much to this performance, it's insane having him play for her.

It's really not that insane. Travis plays literally with everybody to the point of being oversaturted and borderline annoying.

Hes rocking those drums. Gosh darn. The guy is in his 40s I believe. Still wacking those drums like that at his age, wow. She sounds awesome too. They both sound like its still the 2000s. I cant wait to hear the album. Please please bring back the punk, alternative, grunge, and pop rock. Love this sheet.
@@antayat123 yeah he's like 46 or something. He's good yeah but he has horrible technique that isn't sustainable. His hands are always getting torn up real bad. His shit is always covered in blood when he's done with it. Not gonna be good in the long term.

Probably the best performance I’ve seen from her in years, she genuinely looks like she’s having the time of her fucking life in this, the most energetic I’ve seen her onstage in a really, really long time. After all she’s fuckin been through, it warms my heart to see her thriving again. Plus like, Travis Barker and Thrasher up there with her, this is a dream.
Gosh I cannot fucking wait for the new album and I sincerely hope its as Pop Punk as she’s hyped it up to be.

@@juchuva She means it's going to be more in the rock/alternative genre, even moreso than any of her past albums. Under My Skin was probably her most "alternative " album, and it's my favorite. So if she goes even more rock, I am HERE for it!
i really feel like it could be a mix of Under My Skin and TBDT like the way she described it as uptempo and fun it really gives me that TBDT vibes and also in my opinion TBDT is her most "punk" album
Under My Skin is one of the best albums ever made, if she goes to that direction it has everything to be her second best album

I don't think it's autotune people, I'm not a sound tech but it seems like they used a noise gate on the board mix that filtered out too much of her voice. The drums have the same issue. They took it too far. She still sounds amazing.

It is 100% pitch correction, especially if you've seen the other performance & the blink one is the most obvious if you know how Mark truly sounds live. Either way, it's pretty much inevitable nowadays but deep down I miss when it would sound raw & still good instead of overproduced but they are all getting old.
@@DaleWalter96 Your right, Im watching again and the funny thing is pitch correction doesn't work with the way Avril sings because she intentionally changes pitch live on certain lyrics. It's just really obvious with her, because she has such a strong voice. On her voice it just sounds really bad.

I really liked the sound of the songs! They became much more rock with this band! I think all avril songs are better without that keyboard player in her band. I think she's super at ease, I saw emotion and desire to be on the show. One of the best performances in years!

I love Avril, I've been her fan since the beginning.. With sadness I have to say that she's using autotune in this performance.. I've never thought she could use it, I feel disappointed 😢
Production used a little bit too much of pitch correction. She probably didn't ask for that, since she changes the pitch in a lot of parts of her songs live lol. She doesn't need that at all.

@The Archer Tarot 🏹 girl she's been sounding like that since the third album 🙄 and she ALWAYS had a high talking voice. They tried to make her sing deeper for the first album to push the punk narrative. But she's always been the punk princess type. If you go back and listen to the first album, you'll find her singing higher. If you watch a live performance of hers during her debut, you'll see/hear how she struggles to sustain the notes when she does forced deep voice

I think her old management team forced elements of Head Above Water and she sounded at times dated, middle aged and blah blah blah on so much of that album. No hate. Avril is an ICON! But here she sounds so happy, in control and truly excited for her record. She sounds energised, excited and motivated. Cannot wait for this new album.

Avril seems like a very sweet girl, and it's cool that her old music gets love 20 years later. But if this is what rock has to offer now, I think imma head out and let the 15 year old girls have it.
