    Great great video! My first mini-PC was a 3050 and I scored a deal in that it had an i7-7700 CPU and 16gb ram (boosted to 32gb). The extra cores and threads helped a lot, as I was able to play many PS2 sports titles smooth at 2x, and Rogue Squadron for the GameCube at 1.5x with very little studder.

    Just as a side note. PC is $131 when I ordered. Saw a week later for $119. So just keep your eyes peeled. Secondly, list of my build for people looking to do the same.
    2024 dollars
    PC $131
    Wireless keyboard/w mouse $34
    Replacement 1 TB ssd sata drive - $90
    2 8bitdo controllers $100
    Sata to usb cable $12
    HDMI cable $24

    That leaves 9 bucks to get some Mountain Dew.

    • @myrealname2022
      @myrealname2022 Před 2 měsíci

      Not the dude but just a guy, I always say buy the largest drive you can afford. I have never been disappointed by having too much memory, but I have been sad when I didn’t and had to choose what to keep and offload. No matter what they say, size matters. This app doesn’t have the performance to handle newer roms, but if you want a hard drive you can move to a bigger, better build later, I say get a minimum 1tb or more if you can. But if it’s just gonna be a select retro emulator with your favorite games, the basic 256gb that is stock will be fine. If you have to upgrade, 512 gb SSD is good and super affordable.

If you don't mind me asking, your excellent build with all the bells and whistles with over 4000 games, how big is the hard drive you used? I would think maybe a 1 TB drive should do it. Is that right? Thanks.
