In order to predict if a precipitate will form during a reaction, you need to use the solubility rules. These rules are also useful in writing net ionic equations.
I learned this in six minutes! I couldn't even learn my chemistry teacher's lecture in 45...
Thank you for watching.
@@mrcausey yeah I did 😁thank you
Still one of the best solubility videos I’ve ever seen😭
Thnk you so much!
This video has been super helpful!
Glad it was useful! Thank you for watching and commenting.
THANKYOU SO MUCH YOU'RE GREAT
Thank you so so much ! ☺
I have an exam and this covers ch10 in our text book...I love the way you teach Mr. Causey I would be lost w/o you and your videos! Keep em coming!
Ones again thank you so much sir. You are a true hero.
Thank you for watching. I hope you smashed the like button!
Thanks so much!! This really did help with my confusion on Chemistry.
You're welcome. Thanks for commenting.
super helpful..Thank you Mr. Causey!
You're welcome! Thank you so much for watching.
I have an AP chem test today thanks for the last minute help!
You're welcome!
Great video! Keep up the great content you have really helped me a ton!
Glad the videos have been helpful. Thank you for watching.
YAYYY IM REVIEWING FOR MY QUIZ tomorrow. and my teacher will have the rules on
Really helpful video, and u cheatsheet is amazing thanks!
You're welcome. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
thank you so much !!
You're welcome!
thank you sir , really help . one point , what about Kps how can help predicting precipitations reactions .?
Great video and teaching style.
Thank you so much!
You just saved my life sir
Thank you for watching and commenting.
Thank you for saving my finals, good sir.
+Evan Jordan You're welocme. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment.
This was very helpful to me..... Thank you so much SIR
You are welcome.
How do you list things in order of solubility? For example, I'm being asked to list O2, Br2, LiCl, and CH3OH in order of increasing solubility in water.
Hi! There are so many insolubles, solubles in this video, but what exactly are this salts soluble or insoluble in? Is it water?
Thank you so much!
Thanks
ty helps a lot
You're welcome! Thank you so much for watching.
good video. really appreciate it. thanks
You're welcome!
Great video! You made me get an A on my test! :D
Awesome!
best video EVER
+Onishini Seppuku Thank you so much for the kind words!
thank you so much! and you sound like Micheal J. Fox
You're welcome! So, I've been told. But, I think he sounds like me.
it is good concept
Thank you!
hi mr.causey, is there any way i can get ur version of ur solubility rules? my teacher gave me one but its very confusing but when i looked at this one it makes alotta sense!
I have a handout I can send you. Send an email to mrcausey@mrcausey.com
Wat about solubility of group 2carbonates .they r soluble
Thanks! You sound like Micheal J Fox lol
Thanks for watching. Actually, he sounds like me.
I hope you are safe in your home during lockdown
The link for the polyatomic cheat sheet is not working. How else can I get a copy?
Sorry, try this
www.darrellcausey.com/mrcausey/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/mini_polyatomic_ions.pdf
How will I know if there are exceptions like the one in 5:49, just got a little bit confused :) but anyways, this is greatly helpful :)
The exceptions are included in the rules.
Oh I see... Thanks sir :)
can you add a link to the same solubility rules chart in 2:50 thannks

ohh but im not understanding exactly the supersaturated, unsaturated & saturated?
Unsaturated is when you have added some solute but could add more. Saturated is when you have added all the solute the solvent can hold and no more solute will dissolve. Supersaturated is where you add more solute than the solvent can dissolve but get it to dissolve by heating the solvent or increasing temperature (syrup).
Mst hai
What about Formate? I'm doing a problem that has Bismuth Formate
It's probably soluble.
Mr. Causey thanks, but does the solubility rule not apply to it then??
Great but barium hydroxide is Ba(OH)2
Thank you!
I can't remember all the rules with those tons of exceptions. HELP!
I understand, but chemistry is a lot of work and there aren't any short cuts. It takes time and practice! BTW this is why chemical engineers make good money.
Is it normal that i got really confused while answering the practice set lol.
damn it
you forgot on rule #5 that silver sulfate (Ag2SO4) is insoluble
It is slightly soluble at 0.83 g/100 mL (25 °C)
I don't know if anyone has ever told you this, but you sound like Michael J Fox!
+Scruge21 Oh yeah, many times. But, actually he sounds like me. Thanks for watching.
+Scruge21 omg ikr
lollll
"precipi-tits"
Really, that's all you took away from the video?
Um you said "beautiful" and "texas" in the same sentence, not sure I can trust anything you say after that.
ok, that was good stuff, i stand corrected. but texas is still bleh.
sound's like a kid......................
Ah, thank you. I am young at heart! But, actually 60 years old. Thank you for commenting.
