How to Install a DRO 3 - General Installation Info

Shars.com approached me about making some videos showing the installation of one of their Sino Digital Readouts (DRO). In the third installment, I'll be talking about the tools you will need for installing all the scales, showing off the components you will be dealing with, and discussing the pitfalls you will probably encounter. Looks like the same kit I got from shars for my lathe!
What a crap bag of brackets ! Lol.. the holes on the brackets didn't even match up with the reader ! Not to mention that I only received one 90° bracket and one flat one.. with two scales... lol. I threw it all away and just made my own. The shipping clips stayed on til the installation was completed. It sets it just about perfect. But I enjoyed watching your video. Thanks for sharing.
