Shooting hollow points for fun? You guys must be rich.
I have an original 1911 from ww1 mfg, 1918 , my father traded a shotgun to it in 1974 , from the man who brought it home in 1919 when he was discharged from the army , it will shoot anything you put into it , it doesn't care , flat nose , round nose , no nose , hollow point ,cast or FMJ still with its original magazine and spring , never had a jam up in at least 1000 rounds that I've shot though it , I inherited it in 1998 .
The Springfield Mil Spec Defender is my EDC. No complaints. No failures to feed. Also, for best results, use 230 hardball (Federal, PMC). They weren’t designed in 1911 for JHP. If you want JHP go get a little 9mm.
Why buy this handgun because only 1911 a1 with life time warranty with match stainless steel barrel. Review show case durable reliable value as handgun.
standard 1911s like round nose ammo from what i understand, hollow points cause issues. has something to do with the feed ramps being designed for round nose since thats all they had back in the day
Over the years I’ve had quite a few 1911’s but find myself currently without one. Damn I need to remedy that. I’m getting kind of tired of plastic guns. Great video sir.
Guns & Cars that describes me to a T. Just bought my 42nd handgun, have a plethora of rifles and shotguns and many cars. My wife and I own, 2018 Scat Pack Challenger, 2018 Chevy 2500HD pick up with a 9 inch lift. 2007 3LT Corvette, 2016 Mercedes CLS 550 4Matic ( please don't give me grief for a foreign car, my wife wanted it ha ) my wife's 1963 Thunderbird, mint, 70k miles 390 auto, and my 1964 Corvette Stingray 327 / 365hp L76 motor, 4 speed Close Ratio Muncie 4 speed, all matching numbers, documented 40,111 original miles. Just subbed, can't wait to check out your other vids. Just bought the Springfield Defender 1911 Mil-Spec what a great gun... Always remember to
I just bought this today from my local gun shop! I have a rock island armory 1911 A1 FS( full Size) and I love it! I have all always wanted a Springfield 1911!
Not a bad review, buuuuuut.....Just admit you are an average shot dude, "the light" , never heard the term "New gun jitters" before, don't be someone pretending to be the uber marksman, just do your thing. And 1911's handle 230 grain ball ammo, by design from Mr Browning. Unless you get a polished ramp in a 1911, don't use hollow points. 230 ball will do it's thing
Hollow points...no no no
Thank you for the YT bid. Love the minimalist look of this 1911.
Beautiful pistol might get one soon!!👍🏼👍🏼
Out of the box it seems to shoot really good.
Great shooting my friend😮
Great video brother🤝
Picking one up tomorrow!!!!
This is actually a damn decent gun for around 650
I have a GI model 2007 Springfield.45 and I would LOVE to have the dots on the sights. Mine does not have them. My 1911 is also super loose in the barrel lock up and slide to frame .. The defend your legacy 1911 .45 Springfield looks to be a good upgrade. Maybe even the blue steel salt finish Garrison in .45
it's shooting left for your buddy because he's not holding a good grip with his left hand. If you only grip with your right, the gun will want to go left. You need a good grip with your secondary hand to prevent that.
running a 18 and/or 20lb recoil spring helps with recoil & feeding.
