  • Let’s break down what exactly resin cremation jewelry is! Cremation, memorial, or ashes jewelry is the incorporation of your loved one’s ashes in a piece of jewelry. One of the two ways to do so is using resin where the ashes are mixed with the resin, which the becomes the center piece of a ring, necklace, or any other jewelry piece you prefer.
If you are interested in creating a custom resin piece, send us an email at info@fineandflux.com and we will be happy to help! You can also shop our ready to order collection here:

    Pros of cremation jewelry:
    • You can see the ashes. Many people look for this feature when buying ashes jewelry as it makes them feel more connected to their loved one.
    • When buying a piece of jewelry made of resin, you are mostly paying for the cost of labor than the resin itself. Generally, when purchasing a ring, most of the cost is dedicated to the center stone. However, because resin is so inexpensive, you will not be paying as much as you would for other jewelry.
    • Resin is also extremely versatile as it can take almost any shape and size. You are not bound to the classic shapes of gemstones and diamonds, in contrast, you can get as creative as you like!
    • It is extremely difficult to break and easily repairable. Although scratching or damaging your resin is a difficult feat, it can still look brand new with a simple repair.
    Cons:
    • Resin can only have a flat surface; therefore, it is not going to take the shape of a gemstone with facets.
    • Because the texture of ashes is not consistent, they can sometimes slightly protrude and create little bubbles on the surface. This can be unavoidable as the texture of ashes cannot be changed. However, this is only visible if looking at the jewelry very closely.
    • Even though we always strive to fulfil our customers' requests, the resin's colors may occasionally differ from what you initially wanted. Ashes tend to be light grey, therefore, when mixed with the resin, the ashes have a minor effect on the resin's color. Lighter colors are less impacted, whereas darker hues tend to appear slightly lighter. We always send customers swatches of the color before we begin the process of creating the jewelry, however, you have to be prepared for a slight change of color.

I clicked on this because I was looking for a reasonable alternative to the screw vial. I love this idea. Not only is it very pretty, it is also very discreet.
When it comes to the chunk factor. How about sifting the ashes. Put in the finer ashes first, then place the larger pieces in. Even if they don’t lay completely flat you can arrange them in a pattern. I personally love the organic look of the texture.
Thanks for the information. It was exactly for what I was looking.

Hey! How does clear resin last on say an ashes ring? Will its stay clear or go cloudy over time? Can it just be buffed back to clear if it does go cloudy? Thank you!

Do you use uv resin, or regular 1:1

You could pour the cremains into a faceted silicone mold.

For faceted, couldn't you use a mold to make a stone?

Yes we could use a mold but it will add quite a bit of labour fees to make a mold for every stone shape and size depending g o. What the client wants

If you’re asking why people put ashes in resin, like rings, it’s a way to remember them. Having something that reminds you of your loved one can help you cope with the loss. People grieve differently, some do cleaning, like my mother, some do art pieces dedicated to the loved one, and more. My grandparents passed a few days ago, and I own a watch that my grandmother had.
