Foam Crafting a Trench Knife

- Time to crawl out from Fallout and arm ourselves with an epic blade from the Wasteland, the Trench Knife from Fallout 3. For this build, I used: 10 mm EVA, 6mm, 4 mm, and 2 mm What the Foam from Cosplay Apprentice, 1/2 inch EVA dowels, thick wire (I used fencing wire), contact cement, hot glue, spray adhesive, super glue, Plasti Dip, rub n buff, Metal Lustre's wax paint, and some Plaid FX acrylic paints. You may also need the following tools: a heat gun, a wood burner, a Dremel with various bits, and an Xacto knife or box cutter. Sorry to hear about your friend. This game has been a fun one for me and my brothers. Even got to cosplay together with my older brother at a convention I was a guest speaker at last year. Lots of good memories connected to it.

Love this one. Such a quick build. Love the technique of putting the points on the dowel and then cutting to length. Smart.

True. The combat knife portion of the weapon is pretty generic.

I don't know about another full Fallout cosplay. I have a sturdy metal and a leather one. I need to finish my Viking Link, Red Hood, and Ghostbusters ones first

how did you get what the foam? It's out of stock when I check. Also when I get it in the cart and try to do checkout, It says it's unable to ship.
I have a big stock pile of it. Don't know if he is just out of stock or what. You can get high density foam other places too. TNT Cosplay Supply online has a line of high density too.
