Making Mario Blocks out of EVA Foam
Looking for a beginner build to sink your teeth into and really get a taste for EVA foam fabrication? Look no further. This video shows you some of the basics necessary to make something straight out of an old school video game and can be done in just a couple of hours. For this build, I used: 24 mm and 10 mm EVA foam, magnets, contact cement, Plasti Dip, spray paint, acrylic paints, and metallic paint pens. You may also need the following tools: a rotary tool with various bits, a heat gun, a wood burner, and an Exacto knife or box cutter. Let me know in the comments below if you want to see more like this one, from shows, video games, or whatever. Making a Topographic Map of Westeros based on Game of Throne
zhlédnutí 612Před 21 hodinou
My anniversary is coming up soon and I am making a surprise build for my wife based on her favorite TV series, Game of Thrones. We recently went to a Fan Expo and saw some really cool topographic maps of classic video games, which gave me the idea to make a map of Westeros on my laser cutter. For this build, I used: 1/8 inch plywood - 7 sheets, leather dye, Locktite wood glue, super glue, and M...

Back in the Wasteland, we catch up with our cosplay-making duo as they get closer to the large settlement of Diamond City. What trouble will they unravel next? Who is next on their list of Enclave spies? How will they get out of this mess? Watch this episode as I continue the saga with a Stealth Boy build and a deeper dive into my own lore in the Fallout world. For this build, I used: 10 mm, 6 ...
Making a Custom Viking Hammer for Adam Savage
zhlédnutí 1,6KPřed 21 dnem
I am going to a Fan Expo in Dallas and will have the opportunity to meet Adam Savage. I thought it would be fun to make the author of Every Tool's a Hammer, a hammer that houses a sketch pad and drawing tools. Since he already has a Viking helmet that I built a couple of years ago, I thought it was fitting to make his hammer Viking-themed as well. For this build, I used: 24 mm, 10 mm, 6 mm, and...

Let's take another trip into the wasteland and find something epic to build. An item that you may not actively think of while you play, but plays a very intergral role in the game is the fusion core. So lets make one out of foam in about 2 or 3 hours. For this build I used: 10 mm, 8 mm, and 2 mm EVA foam, 48 mm and 18 mm EVA dowels, sticker, contact cement, Plasti Dip, spray paint, acrylic pain...

Have you ever gotten a gift from someone and it just absolutely changed your day? This week I wanted to share with everyone the generosity of a Patreon member/channel subscriber, TheTrashPanda and MiniPanda. They sent a small-town teacher in east Texas a custom set of resin dice all the way from Australia. So I thought it would be a fun idea to make a fancy case to hold my new set of D&D dice. ...

How do you deal with loss and grief? My grandfather recently passed away and I have been struggling a bit. To help myself process things, and commemorate his life into something I can see daily, I built a shield about my grandfather. This build is for you Pappy. Love you. Nice build , much more user friendly to build than my styrene one
That's a fun one!
The power block could be made movable from the regular bricks as though you're punching it up. Just my thought!
Very nice! And very simple. Of course you had to take it up a notch. Definitely a fun thing to hang on the wall. Or the fridge. Love your passion, Thomas. And thank you for sharing with us!
What a twist as M.Night Shyamalan would say
Those are so cool, my nephews are going to want me to make this for them. thanks for the great project
is it blown up what percentages. sending to kinkos tonight
The size of the pattern is on a US standard letter, 8.5 inches by 11 inches. I tape what you see in the video onto that paper and scan it onto the PC. So the size you see at the end of the video is the size he will be if you print it out at 100%
I honestly thought the backs of them were layered foam! 😂 Great job with the painting!
Thats’a fantastico! Still amazed at how such a simple construction can look absolutely awesome! Seriously thinking I’m gonna have to have a crack at this!
SImple, i hair 3 hairs on my head left, and i do this to keep my ptsd in check. i think i have everything cut out, still iffy on 45 degree cuts if i have them all, instructions were rough. But i like it, will like it more when it gets glued.
Hi im just on the intro right now but i love your work and wanna ask that if you ever have the time could you possibly post a short video of the props and items you didn't make (also possibly where/how you got them)? Because its so difficult to get a clear view of his costume and i think it would be good for inspiration Thank you you're genuinely so creative and all your props and cosplays are so impressive good luck on all your future and current projects :)
For sure. When I make the final build of this series where I have my photoshoot, I will lay out all the purchased items and why I made the decisions that I made. A lot of it can be guesswork. I worry less about what is accurate and more on what I think looks cool. This one has been in limbo for a while and I need to put the finishing touches on it for sure.

She's going to love it! Happy anniversary to both of you!
@muchprops boy looks original lololol Did u get a cease and desist? Wasnt this a fan made game? what happened to that creators credit? yup .....welll anyway
I know this is an older video, but do you know where you got the CPVC for the handle? I'm having trouble finding a similar type of pipe.
I got it at Lowes. You could probably find something comparable in the plumbing section, or if not, go with a wooden dowel.
@@MuchProps Ok, thank you so much!
@@MuchProps One more question if you don't mind. Did you make the CPVC flat on the outside of the plunger handle? Because it goes from circular to flat, and I wasn't sure how you did that. Thanks!
@@alexarnett5943 I did not. At the handle, I left it round
Would love to see a T-60 Power armor!
Happy Anniversary, and nice job on the map.
Thanks.
You're amazing, Thomas. Love the map and happy anniversary!
Thanks so much!

This is awesome!! Have to give it a shot
Thanks. Let me know how it goes.
Hey sir thats awesome...i wish i could have one for myself ❤
Thanks. Mine sold shortly after this video went up. It could be a fun one to revisit or redesign
Mate that’s awesome! I can’t believe you managed to keep this a secret….I can’t even walk down the hallway without someone popping out to see what I’m up to! The map looks damn impressive and the blue leather stain worked perfectly!
Having a couple of projects going at one time helps me mask what exactly I am doing. I was juggling 3 at the time.
Ya tienes el diseño, has, lo mismo en cuero y así podrás desplegarlo cuando estés con tu traje de vikingo
That is a super cool idea. Putting that suggestion away in my memory bank
PLEASE DO THE ALIEN FROM DESTROY ALL HUMANS
Thanks for the suggestion
Great topographical map for your wife Thomas, Happy early anniversary for your and your better half😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much 😀
Oh my god I feel stupid I wasted a big patch of foam trying to figure out where what goes where I didn’t realize you cut the templates up when I looked in the link it looked different them the one you had on screen I feel so dumb thank you for the template I can easily make my costume now lol
Sorry for the confusion. It explains things in the cover letter, but a lot of people get too eager to start building and skip all the words. Let me know how it goes
Could you make the mask for death korps of Krieg Warhammer 40000 ?
Can't make any promises but thanks for the suggestion
Did you end up fixing the 3rd layer that got glued on upside down or is the next to bottom one just an odd one now? Still looks great in the end.
I left it upside-down. By the time I realized what I did, I would have needed to start over. With the window, I had to get the build out before our vacation, and I left some flaws.
Another fantastic video, thank you. Happy annivesary to you both
Thanks so much!
nice map
😁👊
Talking about game of thrones, would you do something from Elden Ring or from a souls game in the future? 😮
Anything in particular tickles your fancy. I've never really gotten into those games before. Can't make any promises but I am always looking for new ideas
Happy Anniversary. Very cool gift.
Thanks 👍
Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs Much Props!

Every year you surprise me with the best gifts. ❤ Happy Anniversary! I love you and love seeing the world with my better half. 🥰

Awe shucks. Glad you liked the build. Don't look too hard at all the mistakes. 😁

At the end of GOT, Arya asked what was west of Westeros? We quipped two answers.. Easteros (Yeah we know but the maps were already made and named, so... ) and Narnia. :)
LOL. It would make for an epic spin off. She was one of the most interesting character storylines.
Ahhhhhh, the use of the nylon bag was a real shame. It's definitely a thick cotton web, not really used anymore but was heavily used from the 40s-90s and is still in circulation. I feel like I've seen pretty close radio bags from South Africa and Israel. Maybe even Galil Magazine Pouches from Israel would work.
It was what I could find online and delivered the next day. Thanks for the suggestions. I will have to keep an eye out for those.
Can you make the scarecrow mask from Halloween ends?
Can't make any promises but thanks for the suggestion
Fantástico lindo muito perfeito PARABÉNS ❤

Try it now. I think I fixed it
It works!! Thank you @muchprops for everything you do. The work you put in is not taken for granted
@@PabloMartinez-jo1fy have fun. Let ne know how it turns out
I think the pouch is based on old European FAL mag pouches. I have a couple and they're the correct build and texture but a bit shorter
Good to know. I will look em up if I want to do more of them
@@MuchProps you can also try British post war bren gun mag pouches as well
Link for the template does not work... typical. You should take this video down... you are wasting our time.
Try the link now, I think I fixed it. I recently made my own website and had to relocate over 200 templates across 530 videos. Guess I missed this one. Next time, try being more polite in a comment on a 3 year old video.
@@MuchProps I was being "polite." I was also being honest. Try being less sensitive...
@@bop5277 😆
If you find that it bounces around too much while cosplaying, there’s a drain hole in the bottom of that dump pouch. Drill a hole in the bottom of the foam and through that stuff some ball bearings or whatever embedded in hot glue, then hot glue that in place from underneath. That should make it move more realistically without being stupid heavy.
Thanks for the idea. I thought about putting something in it to weigh it down a little, but I think it's small enough, and strapped well enough that it shouldn't be an issue, for what little I would wear it.
You are a wizard. Thanks the the clue to your cosplay 😉
😁👊 My wife may have gotten me the duster for my birthday, and I might really need it as a full kit. I already did the helmet a while back but sold it. So I would need to make another.
Stealth Boy Mark III next????
Lol. It's similar to this one but black and extra doodads. I was actually eyeballing the Stealth Boy 3001 for a hot minute, but wanted a wearable.
Awesome dude you should make the space Monkey mask from gta 5
Thanks for the suggestion
I am absolutely digging the side story, Thomas. And love the Stealth Boy. Your passion for your art is incredible and you inspire all of us. Thank you for what you do, man. You rock! Oh yeah... hand stitching really really sucks. I always end up with more holes in me than the fabric. But they say you gotta suffer for you art, right?
My hands are always sore for a couple of days after I had stitched something. Guess it's just one of those things you develop a tolerance to. I'm glad people are enjoying the story, too. It's an extra couple of hours coming up with but so much fun to stretch a different part of my creative side.
Thomas, did you see fallout & Metallica both came to fortnite?
I did not. I'm sure that will make for some interesting cross-promotions.
How awesome, such a great work 👍👍
Thank you so much 😀
