Making a Fusion Core from Fallout 4

- Let's take another trip into the wasteland and find something epic to build. An item that you may not actively think of while you play, but plays a very intergral role in the game is the fusion core. So lets make one out of foam in about 2 or 3 hours. For this build I used: 10 mm, 8 mm, and 2 mm EVA foam, 48 mm and 18 mm EVA dowels, sticker, contact cement, Plasti Dip, spray paint, acrylic paints, and Mod Podge. You may also need the following tools: a rotary tool with various bits, a heat gun, and an Exacto knife or box cutter. Let me know in the comments below if you would like to see more like this one, from shows, video games, or whatever. Please smack that like button, dropkick subscribe, and share with as many people as possible.

What a great build. Now I want to make one.
Thanks so much, Ted. It was a fun and easy little thing to piece together. Took me about 2 or 3 hours, and that was with recording, too.
No kidding about the storms this week. It's been nuts!! This build came out cool. I'm always amazed at the amount of "sculpting" you can do with foam and sanding. I've been trying to dremel a nice curved edge onto a long foam piece, ended up grabbing a little palm sized sanding block and it felt like it was doing a better job!
It does take a bit of practice, for sure. I have well over 1000 hours of practice 😄. You could also precut a bevel in it before you glue it up, like I did on the top part. It's amazing how quickly something can take shape using a sanding block, too.
Finally got a chance to watch this one….great build and love the back story!
Glad you enjoyed it.
Another awesome prop as always and another great addition to the story!
Thanks. The lore is almost as fun to make as the build.
So cool!!!
I appreciate it
great video
😁👊 glad you liked it
Another epic build, Thomas. That thing looks like it's screen ready. You amaze and amuse us every Friday and we love you for it. Thank you so much!
Thanks so much. I was pleasant surprised with how well it turned out. And pretty quick
Saludos amigo eres genial en tus trabajo y e echó parte de ellos en mi casa me an servido de distracción yo paso por una depresión muy fuerte y eso me ayudó mucho sigue adelante
I'm sorry that you are going through a rough patch. I have been struggling the past couple of months, too. Finding positive ways to express yourself and be creative can help, at least that what has helped me. I've enjoyed coming up with the lore, almost as much as the build itself.
Great video, subbed
Welcome aboard. New builds every Friday and over 525 videos to explore. There is a playlist of 45 Fallout builds, if that's you jam.

Thanks
You're welcome. I always share your videos in a group I run on Facebook. Your stuff is easy to fallow along with
Fire I just finished the ho nd it’s really good
Thanks
Мне нравится то, что ты не использовал 3D печать, а сделал ядерное ядро своими руками
I have three 3D printers and rarely use them. I prefer to build most of my stuff by hand. It's fun to test your skills.
@@MuchProps это прекрасно, я буду и дальше следить за твоим творчеством
Ho hum, looks like another great build for you Thomas... i love the story line for the fallout build... is this your own take on fallout or is it from the series?
The storyline I have put out on these couple of videos is based in the world of Fallout 4, intertwining details from the actual game into my personal lore. I may use a character, creatures, or location to help solidify it into the cannon lore, but everything else is off the top of my head, trying to tie my prop build into the story.
Before I forget. At Lowes they had a wrench in the plumbing section for opening PVC glue cans. It's freaking epic and I will never not have one on hand. Ever. Get one.
That is good to know. After using that Barge a couple of times, the lid gets glued down and makes it difficult to open. I will try to keep that in mind on my next Lowes run. Thanks
@MuchProps just smack the lid on a table , the lid will screw right off.

I used a mix of colors so it had an uneven aged look. I used most shade from Rustoleum spray paint cans
