German soldiers in this battle: “Oh, so this is what it feels like.”
Nice one!
First of all they wonder where all the mentions of different german dumplings went.

I always thought a game version of this movie could be really fun, using those eco suits to take on massive infantry based invasions like this would be pretty sick
My favorite Tom Cruise movie. (not only because he dies a lot, it is actually pretty good)
Only Tom Cruise film I enjoy because of how much of a disgusting person he is
So true.
@@Peoples_Republic_of_Devonshire The fuck?
@@youtublife4540 Everyone hates Cruise because of his loyalty to Scientology which has been suspected of doing a lot of messed up things like human trafficing, but that being said, Cruise is probably one of the few decent people working in hollywood these days.
@@DaveSmith-cp5kj scientology is still better than christianity and islam. At least they dont believe in a non existent god.

Yes please!
Surviving Dredd sounds awesome. Please make this happen.
Just be on the german side in Wolfenstein.
Surviving as a Judge is simple, do your job, keep your eyes and ears open, adhere to the law and the law alone.

The Mimics from this movie remind me a lot more of the Hunters from Halo, with all their worm-like appendages and such, albeit the Mimics are much more faster and maneuverable.
You'd be surprised at hunters without their armour.
One of the things I liked about the book was that Kage pointed out how as awesome as the Jackets were - strong enough to toss cars around and the armor could stop a point-blank shotgun blast without a scratch - they were still just a fancy stopgap measure. If you wanted to win battles against the Mimics, you wanted tanks and attack helicopters. But tanks take a while to build, and helo pilots take a while to train, so it's up to the poor sods in Jackets to hold the line until the heavy hitters can wade in. He mentioned that some poorer countries that couldn't afford better stuff were sending their guys in with nothing more than gas masks and RPG-7's. It didn't usually go well.
...Oh yeah, gas masks. That was another charming bit about the Mimics in the book: when killed, they release some kind of spore or chemical that poisons the area and kills most Earth life. Even "winning" a battle against them still usually means losing some territory. I don't remember if the area was recoverable or not - presumably the aliens who sent them had some way to fix the damage - but humanity was in a very bad way due to losing huge amounts of farm land. Rita considers actual coffee to be a priceless luxury in one scene because most of the land used to grow it had been either taken over or poisoned by the Mimics.
Mimics are jerks.
The reason Rita uses a sword isn’t because she got bored but because since she knows the future, it doesn’t matter how difficult the enemy is to kill, she’d eventually accomplish this task. You see Cruz punching a lot of mimics often because it doesn’t require ammunition.
Melee is an unlimited resource, which is something you need when you have literally infinite time.
1:42
This quote is probably why aliens refuse to meet up with humans
Maybe.
I think TV shows are also sent into space while being broadcast on Earth.
FIELDS OF VERDUN
AND THE BATTLE HAS BEGUN
NOWHERE TO RUN, FATHER AND SON FALL ONE BY ONE
THY WILL BE DONE
AND THE JUDGEMENT HAS BEGUN
Second! But seriously u can't! Unless u are on an AC-130 gunship sending hell to those mimics!
I figure that's how most alphas are killed, anf eventuallu mimic batteries shoot them down
there's actually a reason why rita choose wield melee weapons because guns have a limited ammo capacity to survive
Rita just got board and decided to max out her melee skills.
I could see that happening.
Overlord 2: Mimic Boogaloo
Edit: the mimics remind me of slivers from MTG
LoL
But with mimics and not germans!
Will Scientology magic get me a woman like Emily Blunt?
And gluten tolerance so I can eat dumplings?
CursedMonkey there are ways to have a gluten free dumpling
No, working for a paper company will get you a woman like Emily Blunt.
Unless you lock her in a cage while you wait for your alien overlords

I was really expecting a hentai joke when talking about tentacles
And this is why I was up at 2:30 in the morning having watched the movie. Thanks Allen
Alan: tells about the manga and why the mimics have tenticals
Me: female soldier + alien tenticals = off brand anime
That Jersey shore dumpling made me throw up a lil!
So mimics are essentially Save scummers: The Species.
Read the book this movie is based on. It's pretty good. Damn aliens DO send mimics to earth to terraform the planet for their eventual invasion.

michael howell I 100% agree.
1. Airdrop mines in an expanded perimeter.
2. Targeted air strikes, missiles and drone warfare.
3. Tactical mininukes or MOABs if overwhelmed in key areas.
4. Maneuver warfare doctrine
5. Expanded front with smaller mechanized brigades and close air support
You're welcome
Yeah
1: they can perfectly predict and avoid the mines due to already knowing they are there.
2: expensive, and you would never hit any key targets due to them always being just out of range. Also, they have heavy anti-aircraft capabilities.
3: the mimics poison anywhere they die on, you’d still lose land with every detonation and radiation cannot kill them. Furthermore, you would kill very little with a nuke as the entire blast zone would already be cleared of mimics before you drop.
4: Worthless, they can predict your movements with 100% accuracy. Maneuver warfare is literally what the mimics are designed for.
5: An expanded front would not do much as you’re simply making your forces thinner against an enemy where even a single mimic can take down a dozen troops before dying. Mechanized forces were tried first, but they take time and are costly to make. By 2050, most major nations didn’t have any heavy armor left. CAS would be blown out of the sky in seconds, every single mimic is a walking anti-aircraft battery.
I’m not thankful. You’re suggestions are a death sentence.
You forgot to mention don't go freeballing while ignoring checking for trucks.
We definitely need a 2nd edge of tomorrow
Also I'd like to see just generally how to survive as a UNSC marine.
You don't.
I really do appreciate the fact you took a second to talk about dumplings.
How to survive The Battle of Klendathu (Operation Bug house) from Starship Troopers
How to survive the Chimeran invasion (Resistance Fall of Man)
Humanity first like always. And so cool you mentioned South Africa. Keep the vids coming, need to know how to survive when they come.
Canadian dumplings are called either pizza pockets or pops, but they're actually mini calzones

how to survive the battle of Jaburo from Mobile Suit Gundam.
Emily’s counterpart in All You Need Is Kill uses a melee weapon because she finds she runs out of ammo often
That film was just yesturday on my tv
Cool timing
I agree we need more of edge of tomorrow's story and aftermath of the first movie.
I heard that "meow"! LOL!
Super Troopers was great and I hope that he made that reference. I heard it
@@mikenyc1501 I also hope it's a reference for Super Troopers!
They do have artillery, we see the hovercrafts and destroyers in the background lighting the beach up with rockets and also helicopters and other types of cas including jets, bombing and shooting the beach, sadly we focus a bit too much in cage that the scale of the assault is easily lost. And the only times we see the choppers they are so close they are taken out by mimics
In the manga that this movie is based on. The mimics are completely different. They are these big black balls with portrusions that seem like spikes. They look super goofy but still have a terrifying quality to them
Rather than a sequel, I'd rather see a prequel.
In movies you can tell a military move is going to be ill advised when they show that the general in charge and making the call is an overweight REMF (edited to clear up I meant movie generals )
Have you ever met any real Generals? THEY ARE ALL REMFs! General’s don’t go into combat. That would be a waste of their strategic planning capability. With the exception of Special Operations officers, most officers stop going into combat when they become Majors. At that point in their career, they go into a senior officer’s command staff.
MrGoesBoom
I worked for a General as a Corps Level Communications Chief. I answered directly to him. You’d be surprised a how little sleep a general gets! People are always calling them to fix problems. They really don’t have time to fight and go into combat anymore. And all of that stress from coming up with plans and strategically leading whole units of men takes a toll on their health.
I’ll tell you right now, being a General is a job I DO NOT WANT!
@@leroyjenkins4811 I was referring to in movies, suppose I should have made that clear. Never served myself so no personal experience to have an opinion on real generals.
There are actually air assets seen in the background during the first few seconds of the landing ; Eurocopters, Chinooks, and Apache helicopters. in response to 9:00.
Did he just say Polish Dumplings? Thanks mate makes me happy
Can you do some videos on Man in the High Castle once you watch it? Great show.
If you have seen the movie and dont need the recap - Ideas on how to actually survive at 11:19. You are welcome.
What if the mimic’s exist on multiple asteroids to increase their chances of interacting with life. Like the Tyranids; if they’re everywhere, eventually they’ll land somewhere
Am I the only one thinking that those suits are holding us back? Aside from the Angle of Verdum everybody else is running like those humans in the movie wall-e....
Her special forces team moves pretty well too.
video suggestion
what is the effect of shields on ground combat in infantry, armour, air support star wars.
does shielding prevent artillery or rockets in the modern sense from penetrating shields
Suggestion: How to survive the battle of Reach as a UN marine
You know i would like to see that, vut i guess the only real way for that to happen is to stow away on a civilian transport that somehow got away, since the Pillar of Autumn is headed straight for a Halo ring and destruction.
@@kostakatsoulis2922 I doubt only civilian transports and the pillar of autumn got away. Im sure some ships carried a few Battalions of UNSC marines off world after they would have seen a fair share of the fighting. For example, at the battle of Viery, 2 entire regiments were involved including and ODST group. Then the Orbital Defense Generators had whole battalions defending them, Im sure many made it out. i get that hundreds of thousands, maybe millions didnt make it, but, there had to be some who got out who saw fierce fighting
And remember to use armoured vehicles for cover and fire support …
Now where are they?
Pax Hamburgana ?
The Angel of Verdun ? I know a someome from that city.
the dumpling part was not necessary but extremely entertaining
imagine if they did it on the actual invasion of Normandy that be so funny
How would that be funny

north Korean dumplings are so cute, those Jamaican dumplins look more like Jamaican patties
There’s that many types of dumplings?? I’ve got some traveling to do!
Why would you bring claymores to an infantry beach invasion?
Ask the guy during WW2 who used swords and long bow lol
So that when you've fought your way off the beach you can prepare for the enemy counterattack.
Mimics: EXISTS
Flood (Halo): am i a joke to you?
@Generation_Films what is the movie where tom cruise meets hit clone? right at the beginning during the scientology part?
the blade she uses is a tilt-rotor blade if I'm not mistaken
All You Need Is Kill is so good so thank you for making this video.
I love the books 📚
Hello Allen. I love you so much. I hope you're having a great day
Cool video
What we need is a game that uses the same premise in respawning mechanics
Cool!
love the dumplings
Love it
Mimics be lookin like my cable management is having a seizure
They should make the weapon holsters much less bulky and attach the autocannon and grenade launcher closer pull down and attach to the arm pieces instead. Also instead of a scar h they should be using a bullpup weapon, hopefully in 6.8mm cartridge and a higher ROF since it's in the future. And the skeleton should be sealed and reinforced with graphene and not left exposed like that. Too easy for dirt and gunk to get in there. Also they should use a 20mm autocannon with HE.
I'm starting to appreciate Alan.
Yes, we can build these jackets. Check out 'graphene supercapacitor battery'.
This reminds me a lot of advanced warfare
Idea for movie. Human makes alliance with aliens to invade earth to give a reason for Humanity to unite.
Thank you for calling it Edge of Tomorrow like it should be not that garbage "Live Die Repeat" they changed the name to after the fact.
+Generation Films There is an "Edge of Tomorrow 2" sadly it is called 'Live Die Repeat and Repeat"
Once again, humanity forgets the superior stategy of luring the alien enemy into the brackish shallows with the intention of igniting a lot of unrequested dolphin effection. It's a Gaia secret weapon!
The right arm armament is actually tripple barreled (or more precisely three barrels of) granade launcher type "metal storm". The shoulder armament is a big calibre rifle and another metal storm (or maybe a block of small rockets). BTW how to survive? Shoot yourself in the foot during range training and spend the battla in infarmary...:D
Did this nigga just say "stop it meow" 💀😂💖 you just caught a subscriber 😭
I like all the history stuff in the movie
I laughed when he said the omega is roughly the size of a bus, might as well say it's tank as fast as a Ferrari
2:58 you missed a juicy spot to cut to a picture of the Tom Cruise vehicle for wearing white, the _Oblivion_ movie.
Yo you would be a good strategies General in the army
Watching this I'm hungry for dumplings yum
Woah you said brief. What about the complex explanation that ill never need but the future will?
While I enjoyed your movie, I love the book. THAT is the movie I want to see.
Polish dumplings are the best ( and i am even not polish myself :D )
The best part of this movie is definitely the combat jacket
Yes and no. The mobility and load carrying are spot on, but the over-the-shoulder weapons are hazards to you r hearing and your life and are mounted on overly complex spindly arms. And all that carrying capacity and no plat carriers for the torso? WTF?!
