    TALLAPOOSA, Ga. - You’ve likely heard the sales pitch. Get off the grid. Get paid to go solar.
    Some residential solar power customers in Georgia love going green. But others paint their experiences red. The color of frustration.

      she spent 60.000 to save 1550 a year... it would take her 38,7 years just to get her investment back before she would begin saving money... she should have stopped already THERE. That was the first and biggest warning.
      Done right you can be and should be in the green within the first 5 years.

    If you’re in a rural area and have a lot of property it’s best to lease your land to the solar company to use as a solar farm than to put it on a rural house that is electrically outdated!! That’s clearly the problem in this video

    All you have to do is ask the solar sales person to put their promises in writing and see how fast they start backpedaling come on people 58,000 to save $150-$200 a month maybe

    The government shouldn't have got involved. They incentivized two-bit companies like this one to get involved and try to make easy cash. Let quality solar power companies arise naturally, and if it's a lot more expensive with 0 tax credits, then that's up to the customer to decide if they want it.

  • @dawnbrady684
    @dawnbrady684 Před 2 lety +3

    Of course there is a problem. There is no way to completely follow anything required for actual implementing. The need for sun light and clear areas that wont block those sensors for long enough to charge those batteries too. Some places cant accommodate it.

    • @jacklitz6024

      The bill increase because the solar system was never turned on … just like there bills go up and down month to month they probably just showed a month where it went up.
      But the solar system has more correlation with the bills going up

    BOOM! Tons of people speculated that when power companies installed digital meters on people's houses that the power companies were attempting to detect customers trying to go "off grid" to solar power in order to penalize customers for leaving the grid. Those speculation predictions were correct! Conspiracy theories aren't always wrong.

  • @rogermccaslin5963

    Spend $60,000 to save $1500 per year? Sometimes math is important.
    Another thing that doesn't add up is the increased cost of the grid power. She is either using more electricity or the cost of energy has gone up for her monthly bill to increase. The solar system doesn't run on grid power. Even if it was terribly inefficient, it wouldn't lead to increased bills for her

  • @davidjames1684
    @davidjames1684 Před 2 lety +1

    Why would anyone spend $50K (or more) to reduce their electric bill by $1.5K to $2K a year? It would take many decades just to "break even". That is just pure stupidity. I tell people the following about solar... just put together a small system for emergency power only, which can also be used during non emergencies to help reduce your electric bill simply by running a reasonable load on it (a good one might be a fridge/freezer since that load is somewhat constant from day to day, allowing someone to size their solar system rather easily). Once you know how much solar you need to run that 24/7, then you can upsize it to include other critical loads such as having enough extra electricity for a single electric burner (for cooking), a space heater, a window aircon....

  • @jacklitz6024
    @jacklitz6024 Před 2 lety +1

    That is why you have to go with a Large nation wide solar company… Even if the price is more expensive… because they have leak free promises and power production guarantees. If this was a nation wide installer this wouldn’t be a problem… But because it’s in Georgia where its cloudy, rainy & snowy many months out of the year big solar companies probably don’t service that area.

    I’m actually in the solar industry and a direct competitor with Sunpro. I love this field as it’s truly the future not just for homeowners and businesses but the earth Most of the homeowners we talk to have very minimal information. The main job of the energy consultant at least with my company is to give knowledge to potential clients and see if this is even something reasonable to do for their home. While I know nothing of Sunpros process I can say for certain price is never the issue. It truly comes down to the technology used & the employees, solar truly does make sense but you really have to beware of bad sales tactics that don’t necessarily lie but omit the truth to a degree. To anyone looking at solar truly do your own research it’s utmost important never settle for less then the best when it comes to your family & home.
